    Mangle can also mean to simply iron.

    Coco just loves using those quaint, old-fashioned terms, doesn't he?

    Local cleaners for the "good clothes" and starched jeans...rest go into the dryer...now, if I could get my hands on some good old fashion jean strechers......

    As far as clothes are concerned, I am also a "flean-creak" as CoCo would say:-)

    I drip dry quite a few things...also love using the clothesline in the summer...but just like ex-nj-jw, I must have that crisp look.

    I don't mind ironing. I put on some nice music and ironing becomes my quiet time.

    hey cokey......I once told my mother in law to take off her grey wrinkled scarf as it was unbecoming.....turns out it was her neck...crinja....(disclaimer...ninja is talking pish again)

    Back in the day, I ironed nearly all I wore - shirts, jeans, socks (!).

    Today I am older and tireder. Everything is permanent press, or wrinkled.

    When I had a family of four kids & a hubby also two foster kids I ironed sheets pillow slips dish drying cloths ,EVERYTHING!!!!

    NOW NOTHING!!!! if it looks creased ,I think "Oh I will wear it anyway,because I am old, folks will look at me & say " Poor ole gal, cant see it needs ironing. "
