FA is really a great inspiration! Awesome Dude!!!
I joined Weightwatchers at the end of April and todate I have lost 8.2 kgs (18 lb). I am feeling great! (Check my WW thread for more details)
I am not a fan of exercise, although having said that - I am a mom of a 3 and 5 year old - so I run after them a lot, but I am planning to try and get a bit more active to keep up the momentum!
Oh goody! Weight loss and exercise partners! You guys are way ahead of me. |
I cross trained yesterday, total of one hour(elliptical and bike), did some free weights and stretching.
Today, I ran 3 miles, lots of stretching
My diet is always low fat, low to mid carb, fresh fruits and veggies
no weight needs to be lost, just like to maintain good fitness.
I am still paying for my work out Tuesday. I used to go to this trainer at the local gym...with schooling, I could not keep up the schedule and I still had 3 more workouts in my contract, so I use them once a month to monitor my progress on my own... not so good... in 4 months since the last time I used this trainer, I gained 2 pounds, gained almost 2 inches on the waist (to 34") and lost muscle mass in the chest and arms..plus my boty fat % went up about 4% to (from 18 to 22%). the gains from the 45 sessions from the previous 6 months...nearly lost.... though I havent lost much strength because of the training I still do on my own...... My body fat % ranges now 19-22%.....
so to make me pay for my lack of work.... this trainer made me pay.. oh did he make me pay...here is the work out he put me through:
30 floors on the stair master in about 6 min. ...100 squats...100 push ups (the first 35 were in a row)....50 pull ups (lying on the ground, grabbing a bar above me)...... 50 (something) with 15# hand weights lifting above my head then lowering over and over.......100 crunches...and finished it off with 1/4 mile on the treadmill in about 2 min...all under 30 min....OMFG! Of course, he made sure to tell me a girl beat my time at 14 min..... the trainer of course did it all in 12. I went home, drank a protein shake and took a nap...ruined me for work...I couldnt hardly move.
I am still sore on Friday (today)...3 days later. My new personal trainer is not so brutal. 15 min sessions of hard work...but nothing like that ......
I do need to get back on track though.... good thread...

I went to the gym today and lifted heavy.
But then went to dinner with my JW in laws and tore up a 12 pack of natural Ice.
I'll hit the eliptical machine tomorrow.
Snakes, I don't like your old trainer. He put you through too much in too little of time. That is a big waste. There comes a point in a work out when your body stops benefitting. Like suppliments taken in addition to a healthy diet, you pee out the excess that your body can't absorb. That is the time to stop. Please really listen to your body and be careful and wary of anyone who puts ego ahead of their clients' health. |
This check-in thing is really working for me! It's the second day of checking in and I feel like you guys are expecting to hear from me about my work out I know you're not, but it helps anyway. This morning I'm going to the Y and doing the treadmill again. I'll come back with how far, fast, and incline later. |
162 lbs. 30 min. 2.5 mph 4% incline (up from 3% earlier this week!) Let's keep this going because most of us need support. |
Yesterday did 10 min step, then an hour weight workout for legs. Didn't train last night. Today went for a walk on the beach. Still feeling crap. Ate a salad so far. Hopefully by mon I'll be feeling better to train.
