Eh, the "see you're wrong/hurting me" approach is just weakness and it plays to JayDub prejudices and strengths. They're fully prepared to view human expression as a sign of Satan.
Any Ex wishing to give a good witness amongst witnesses should appear über calm and confident and just ignore the concept they are bad/evil/not supposed to exist.

It must of felt sooo gooood to do that. Some people pay a lot of money for therapy but this guy found a way to "take the power back" maybe it was immature but I could feel the frustration and the built up anger in this guy and I find it weird that some don't seem to get that. Come on we all know how this cult treats us, how they made us feel like shit for so long, I agree that this was maybe not the perfect way but who cares? if he got some healing and got back some dignity out of it and he did not really hurt any body so what? When you consider all the damage this cult did and is still doing to good people I think this little emotional explosion was justified, but then again that just my opinion.

well, should have tempered my observation with the observation that Blaze of Glory exits are also pretty cool. I don't think anybody should leave with their tail between their legs. Just saying that demonstration of non-hurt/damage would shock the average JayDub more than a crazy Satan controlled apostatepants. They're ready to see apostates, they see few conscious-free, Ex-JayDubs, who can look them
in the eye, smile and act like a normal human being.
I never want to let a JayDub see me looking angry at them. I am unconditional love and a shining example of a human being. -

There is a part of me that can relate with the guy who made that video. I guess a life time of suppressing natural feelings can leave us with some damage and it can be difficult to face all of it. I know that I for one have a lot more healing to do.

I don't believe I've ever heard the f words used in that cadence.
What was Joe's problem? Did he just want to get his mug on camera? Good lord, don't those attendants know the world is going to see how they acted? Most jw's I know have the very mistaken notion that staying calm and cool means they are a peacemaker.
From what I saw, Tim did not deserve what they did to him at all. Although he could have deserved that towel-beating from his aunt for playing the Knack.

..... if he got some healing and got back some dignity out of....Anti_Christ...
Did he get "healing"...get back "some dinity"? Of course would have to ask him about that. But did he, or did he come away more angered, with less dignity?
In the end he lost his cool, blew up, caused a disturbance. Played into their hands as it were. I know, people can be backed into a corner till they explode. When that happened anything he had done that was constructive disolved away. Where is the other video footage he shot? Footage that might be more usefull than what he chose to show.
He played the game by their rules. They got what they wanted, he lost. They knew what they were about, especialy the "cousin". Put the bite in his mouth, saddled him and said giddy up. What could be better than a loud, wild eyed apostate being escorted out the door. jw's eat that s___ up....

maybe I guess it could of help or not but I think for me it would have felt good even if I probably would not have acted as aggresivly.

You have a point, I guess sometimes we apostate need to act in a way that does not bring reproach on the apostates name

I thought it was hilarious. Maybe he needed to do that to "get over" that hump. 18 years ago when I left that religion I am a much different person than I am now. Everyone heals from situations differently and I can imagine that in adulthood, someone might need to do some kind of confrontation or just an expose' to deal with their resentment/anger/disgust/detoxification from the situation.
Great video. I enjoyed it.

The camera man said he had a purpose in coming to the convention, to film. I think he filmed just what he came for. We didn't see anything else he filmed and I can only assume he wasn't filming anything else to put up on the tube. He did sit through a session and must have had opportunity to film something. I believe he got what he came for. He was trying to provoke them, the attendants. Clearly he dressed to make the statement "I am not going to follow your rules anymore! What would they expect from him except more of the same. He wasn't just anyone attending, he was a disfellowshipped person that his cousin pegged for trouble. We do not know if he was known for making scenes in the KH when he was processing his exit from the congregation. The fact that it was his cousin was a plus for his rationale. I didn't respect his need to play badboy by saying F... over and over near the end. What was that? He acted like a fly pinned to a wall, squirming verbally because he lost his moral compass when he became unhinged. It could have really been healthy if he'd just said, "thanks for the admonition, I'll be taking my seat now" and gone back to his seat. Nope, that's not why he was there. W.Once

He was inviting this "harrassment"
Do you also think women invite rape?
What the camera man did was no different than a black man walking into a "Whites Only" diner and asking for a cup of coffee in 1950.
