I always thought that the angels motive was more to have children and a family, a powerbase to rule over the earth rather than sex. That was the one thing that humans had that the angels did not, the ability to procreate.
Now see, I always thought they wanted the sex more than anything, because I'm sure they had been watching the human "porn" channel whenever "Jehovah" wasn't watching them.
Doesn't the OT reference say something like "now the angels noticed the daughters of men, that they were good looking"?
I think that some of the most hilarious parts of this is the very human tendency to sort of impune human emotions to the gods - sex crazed angels, jealous and angry god, etc...well sorted out in Greek myth as well as the old testament.
Another one of the stupid obstacles that they put up against marriage and sex. The sex drive is strong, and yet God chose to make it unclean enough to put up such a maze of rules. It seems that He does not like the idea of humans having sex, but He wants a maze of rules so they will not do it in an uncontrolled fashion (as in, two people that really desire it).

LOL, so true. Hmm, if God never had sex, how would he know how to give humans organs that gave such amazing wonderful pleasure. Cue up the Sesame Street Tune...One of these things just doesn't belong here...one of these things just isn't the same...

This was and still is, something that my step mother finds very upsetting. The first Sunday meeting we went to after my dad died was on this subject. She was late as usual, and we had to sit right up at the front. I kind of felt sorry for the speaker. My step mother has been to the elders several times asking for clarification on this.
There is another spin on this, step children. As a child I always wondered what would happen when my mother was resurrected. What would my family be like? I wanted MY family back, but according to this teaching, that wouldn't happen. I used to have dreams where we''d be sitting at the dinner table, my dad, step mom, younger siblings, and my mother was looking in the window watching us. What a terrible thing for a child to have to worry about.

I think the JWs make these stupid rules for the people who are stupid enough to ask a stupid question because they believe in a stupid concept like resurrection and everlasting life. Basic CYA for the most part. IMO
