they are most sugar, flour and air.......and when they are really hot...the glazed one....well me and a buddy ate over a dozen each one night after a late movie.....I was only 16.....I think that is how many I ate....they just kind of dissolved in your mouth....no chewing at all......those were the days!! I was at one of their very first stores at the time btw..........oompa

Here in the South Florida (Miami) area we have a couple Krispy Kreme places (I think) but they are not at all that popular compared to when you go further north to the US South (yea, you drive north from here to get to the South .. lol).

The same here for Starbucks. I never even saw one here until a couple years ago that was located near the University of Miami.

There is a place to buy coffee (Cafe Cubano) here on literally every corner. It's basically a shot of sweet expresso. It costs about 40 cents anywhere you go. Or you buy a "colata" for a dollar and they give you a styrofoam cup full of the coffee with 4 or 5 little shot cups so you can share it with friends. The thought of paying 4 or 5 bucks for a coffee doesn't exist in most peoples minds here.
