Are the number of non-JW related Topics increasing at JWD?

On the typical page of 20 topics you'll most likely find that up to half of them are not related to the JW experience at all. I think that percentage has grown over the past 7+ years that I've been here.

Not sure what it means though . . .

I kinda thought the same thing. So the last two threads I started were JW topic related.

All our issues are important though, and very real.

We lived in a box, a very tiny one and we are all learning to get out of those bounderies.

I also think the collective information on the web has made it alot easier and faster for people to see just exactly what is going on with the organization. Seven years ago, people were figuring out and sharing the information together.

I take it to mean, that most are ready to move on from the JW's and the feelings of hurt & loss. They still post here because of the friendships that they have acquired. They still come in as an escape from everyday life, to socialize, and to have fun! I think we all need some post that make us laugh or make us think, that have to do with things other than the JW related topics. IMO....

    I like the mix.

It means we are a friendly bunch who come here because we all wear the battle wounds of the Borg, but stay because we have found some good friends amongst it.

Its good to be able to talk about our JW experience but its also good to be able to not have to dwell on it every minute, and instead enjoy each other's company.

    Much Love

I don't know, but I enjoy it. If this was strict JW subjects I wouldn't be here much. BTS

Obviously the members in this forum have turned into a community, they keep in touch with each other and talk about anything that comes to mind, but when the WTS does something worth talking about that subject becomes the main talking point.

Look what happened when the Book Study Groups was removed, and I’ve heard news that the pioneer hours may be reduced if that’s true then there will be lots of talk about that.

That used to really, really bother me when I first found this site. I was hungry for more jw info, data and discussion.

It seems that many use this site for fun and games. Suppose I can't blame them and it's a nice diversion sometimes. Too much fluff just bores me anymore.

I don't know how to quantify an increase, though.

I just wished the forum software was more user-friendly.

I was about to say NO, but then appeared "Welcome to the United States - we suck".
