I'd probably want something sarcastic: "what are you looking at?" I imagine it will be cremation for me. Not my problem. No funeral, please. I like priest's idea - throw handsful of me at people I don't like. Put me under some rose bushes. I like the idea of a bunch of my friends being forced to stand in a circle around a rose bush and sing "Imagine." But then, I'd like to be there to see it. Doesn't matter anyway. I'll be dead.

For life is quite absurd And death's the final word You must always face the curtain with a bow. Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow. Monty Python

I think about death all the time. Not in the morbid "oh I'm going to die!" way, just as a fact and how to deal with it.

I do not want to be buried where I currently live. This state does not feel like "home".

I was thinking of being cremated and having my ashes scattered where I used to live while songs I loved play in the background. The fact is cremeation freakes me out.

I wonder if I could buy a small plot of land somewhere and make it a "family plot"?

I'd like to be buried near water and lots of trees, in a simple pine box that will decompose so I can become one with the earth and come back as a flower, or grass, or weeds... And have generarions of dead loved ones around me.

Honestly, I think the whole JW craze about being cremated came about because they're cheap.

JW "craze" about cremation? Never heard of it. Did a lot of JW funerals and went to many more, very, very few cremations.

I want to be cremated for several reasons, and the modest expense is one of them. I hate that it costs thousands of dollars to die in this country! How absurd!

I'd like an Edward Abbey funeral - lots of friends, good liquor, live music and hopefully some gunfire, after my kids scatter my ashes in the Connecticut River. I've lived along that river and seen it nearly every day of my life.
