I was in shock the first day I posted here. My world had just fallen apart having read everything on www.jwfacts.com.
I needed somewhere other than hubby to vent and this place immediately felt comfortable, welcoming and safe.
I arrived and posted the same day, no lurking for me :-)
Therapy
The knowing it was "Not Just Me"
Facing the fact that I was in a cult
Getting it all out in the open with others that really understand
Venting the anger, even after all this time
Making the full loop from misguided believer
to fanatic disbeliever, to looking at it all over again
but without the cult part
Warnings from the platform.
Reverse psychology.
ie - "dont press the red button"
What draws out the "newbies" is what drew out the rest of us! There's a reason why there are so many of us here.

My first post was an introduction because I just disassociated.
I was looking for information on the Kingdom Hall explosion in Missouri and happened upon this forum. I posted the same day.
I am in a situation where I left, had no friends out side the organization and all of my family is involved with the witnesses. Like some one else posted, it is hard for anyone that has never been inside the organization to understand what leaving means. So I thought I might find some to talk to that have been there, done that. I am very much alone and that is difficult.
I do lurk, but post when I feel I need to or am looking for feedback.
