A good example of alpha male thing is the hazing of the board and it's dominant posters recently.

Methinks it had less to do with sexual preference and much more about Simon. :-))

I have never personally met a JW male who I would consider 'alpha'....

Come to think of it I really haven't met any man that would fit that description.

I'm sure you've been around many alpha males in your life. It isn't so much what they say, it's how they carry themselves and how other people react to them. An alpha male's jokes are always laughed at, even though he may not be particularly funny or witty. Nobody ever makes a sarcastic remark about them, especially to their face. They are always present at congregation get-togethers, and if perhaps they should miss one, then it's, "where's alpha-male"? If an important decision is being made, he is always consulted before a conclusion is reached. Other males approach the alpha with heads bowed slightly, and women approach him with a mixture of fear and awe.

I read something recently about how the qualities of a person's voice are also strong indicator's of one's dominance. I can barely squeak out a "hello" whenever the VP of operations at my workplace greets me with his deep, relaxed, resonating voice. LOL. And he's not the biggest dog. I've never had a conversation with the big dog, just the occasional hello, and I feel very uncomfortable around him. He has that fear-inspiring air about him that is difficult to describe with words but you know it when you see it.

Dan the man is right on. Satanus, my point was that the "gay" issue was simply a catalyst waiting to launch the real issue, which was conquer and divide. Alpha males require separate spaceships! We have 5 such "spaceships" outside as I speak, oogling the wimminz. :-)) I think if you take a peek over there, you will find they are not posting porn to each other, which was superfluous and funny to them, but they are dissing y'all. Get it? R

One of my roommates is an attorney. He is the most alpha male person I have ever met, that is charismatic and pleasant at the same time. Not kidding. NO ONE in the entire neighborhood will mess with this guy in a bar, or in court. You can hear him a block away, everytime. He is extremely intelligent and well-read. The first year he lived here, we spent almost every night in discussions about all manner of things. He taught me a great deal, not so much about law or life but about alpha males. :-)) Still learning. He has his own pack'o dogs (surfers) and everything, the PRIDE of all alpha males everywhere. Homies that got your back.

Italian, 5'9", late 30's very handsome and muscular, he can melt a little girls heart with a flower or a dollar bill in the morning, and charm the ladies everywhere, young and old, and the same day have to tell 5 different murder suspects that they better get their ass in shape NOW or their gonna have to face 5 years in federal prison. Imagine having that job. I thought mine was stressful. :-))

Some religions are merely corporations started by alpha males who desire power. Such males are charismatic and have learned the art of using fear, coercion and guilt to get you to do their bidding. Herding people with such high-level weapons is obscene.
