The control of the Borg over the members, the almost celebratory nature of looking at bad world events and the condemnation of others to make themselves look good, rather than pointing out the positives of their own org....

They insist on their own rights as a religious entity while trampling the individual rights of its members.

That's a big one for me too, FF. I'd say my biggest problem is with the practice of shunning. I have no problem with people believing in whatever they will, but this idea that YOU have to believe what they believe too or there will be sanctions should be recognized as obvious authoritarian manipulation. 1) They encourage you to get baptized young...13 or 14 is best. 2) When you come of age, begin to use your mind and find yourself in disagreement with them, you have no choices--unless you want to be ripped from your family and entire community of friends. 3) If you decide it's not "The Truth" and admit it, you are branded an "apostate." You are "wicked," not to be prayed for, and it's actually okay, according to the WTS to "hate" you. Bottom Line? They are willing to ruin your family relationships in order to maintain the authority they crave.

They never make you feel like you're safe. It's always, preach more, study the WTS literature, learn how to present to the public the new magazines. They never focus on the grace of God and that our sins of the past, present and future are all forgiven in the name of Jesus.

Appointed by Jesus in 1919 , parable of slave as prophecy, all ending in 'God's sole Channel' and beating their fellow domestics with things that go beyond scripture only later to attempt justification of themselves with law.....being of the 'kings & priest' class..

    (Galatians

5:4)4 YOU are parted from Christ, whoever YOU are that try to be declared righteous by means of law; YOU have fallen away from his undeserved kindness. . .

Yknot ..... of the perpetually running ahead class.

:I think that overall, it the total arrogance they display toward everyone and everything else in the world.

    I totally agree.

Fear mongering arrogance, complacent corruption on bible knowledge and principles, a lack of in inward respect to the individual and to humanity, as well !

Power nourishes corruption in most cases and it is obviously there at the Watchtower

For me, I think it's that they are 100% intolerant. Even if they are espousing an erroneous view and it is pointed out to them why they are incorrect, YOU would be "running ahead" if you still did not support the error until THEY state that a change in viewpoint has been made

That would be number 2 for me

Number 1 is the anti-scriptural reinstatement policy

They will never admit they lied about 1975, because that would make them false prophets and then we would have to stone them.

I believe it's their total lack of independant thought that bugs me the most. I often questioned a witness with hard questions, he said he had to ask someone. How hard would it have been to answer from your own thoughts??. Hopeless bunch of drones.
