One witness just told me he thinks that the government will soon turn on religion and take all their monies to solve the economy crisis and this will start the G.T.

Gumby, tell your friend to let the WTS know his fears. They've got the most to lose, since they aren't funding ANY charitable works anywhere! Wonder if the government could cover this bailout by only confiscating the WTS funds?

The desolation of false religion will mark the beginning of the great tribulation.

Blondie, if this is true, the WTS better look out! They are the falsest religion I know! (Is 'falsest' a word?)

Do you think JWD could cause the downfall of the WTS and, hence, cause the GT and Armageddon? Wow, then the Dubs would REALLY know the power of apostates! A reason for Simon to keep us open a while longer!

Do you not see the desolation of religion in general in current events news?...

Hmmm. When John Paul II became Pope, there were 800,000,000 Catholics worldwide. Now there are over 1,000,000,000 Catholics worldwide. Don't see any desolation there!

They said that during the late 1990s when the stock market was going up out of control. They cited that Armageddon would break out of peaceful and prosperous times during that period. Seems they always say that it will happen from prosperity whenever times are prosperous.

This isn't the first time this has happened. The stock market crashed in 1987, and no Armageddon happened then. The stock market crashed in 1929, much worse than this time, and no Armageddon then either. We have had other financial crashes before--even in commodities as stupid as a tulip market crash (anyone can look that up to verify it) back in the 1600s, and no Armageddon then either.

No matter what, the Washtowel Slaveholdery is going to say that it will break out of the conditions that are currently present.

The First Council of Nicaea in 325, forbade clergy from engaging in usury. [1] (canon 17) At the time "usury" meant simply interest of any kind, and the canon merely forbade the clergy to lend money on interest above one per cent per month.

Respectfully, I no longer look to or read the Bible as a guide for what is going to happen to mankind. There is so much ambiguity,i.e. that is, it means this ,no, it means that.

Life goes on, problems happen every day. Solutions come and go. The Bible has nothing to do with it. The Watchtower Society is one example of proof that they have no insight as to what the Bible means when it says this or that about what some men have wrote in the past history of days gone by.

Blue and others, The Society plays along and make up rules and predictions at the drop of a hat. They're either always right or they are wrong, depending upon which article you choose to read. They are masters of disinformation.
