Thats a flawed veiw of the American culture, good pal.
A few of us 'mericans have black folks in town... or see black folks in stores, at ballgames or walking to school every day. We are used to Black folks. Some of us even married across the culture gap or have fought bigots first hand. A suprising number of Black folks (and gays btw) in this county are conservatives.
Those of us who are not enamored by Barockstar Obama just dont like his politics. We did not care for the white guys (and woman) who populated the Democratic circus heading into the convention either.
Race sells soundbites and garners ad dollars for broadcasters.

Please expand on that idea... how does revenge play into our electoral process?
There is a theory that liberals may excise the demons of concience by electing a black(-or pick your favorite downtrodden minority) to high office. Most Americans dont have any ties to slavery these days and for most of the under 50 generation Jim Crow and company are pages in a boring history book.
Do you think a Half- black, semi- socialist Ivey leauge president will punish white conservative America? I am more afraid of his having a law degree than his race. Being a part of Illinois politics is disqualfication enough to make me vote against him.
