Good point, Jonesy.
I have closed my computer for the evening more than once recently feeling vaguely depressed. Too much snarking and I have posted biting remarks too. Be glad when it's over. I do think there will be a period of readjustment for the folks whose candidate wins. Sort of like post partum depression? Anyway, "such is life" as the French say (only I can't remember exactly how to spell it in French)
Hurray election soon over ! And cheers to Mrs. Jones ! .... ...
It's been rough on the board lately cuz some have forgotten kindergarten rules and haven't been playing nice.
for telling it like it is . My hero !

That's it, Sylvia. I think Chuck Berry used it in one of his old songs "...c'est la vie to the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell...."
Chuck Berry was an idiot.

LOL, So true! Saw him once in a small venue. It was the second show and he had been very late for the first show, the crowd was pissed. He came out and did only three numbers because all the people for the second show had arrived and the parking and streets were completely out of control. The cops said that he had to get them out of there. Almost had a riot.
He also was caught with peep holes in the womens room of his club? as I recall, what a creep!
Whoops, sorry about the hi-jack!
Thanks again for the healing words, Jonesy
Nice thoughts Mrs. Jones. I appreciate it.
I'm new to this whole election process after being so removed for many years with the thinking "God's Kingdom will take care of it all...soon." **sigh** And now I firmly understand why there is a saying "never discuss religion and politics."
I have a hectic life, but tried to watch as much discussion as I could of the people and their agendas. I also followed the threads here the best I could to hear what you all had to say. I've come to know all of you a bit over the past two years, and am truly interested in all viewpoints.
In the end, this is a race, and parties will do whatever they can to win. Politicians will say whatever they need to say to win over the people. Putting what they say into practice is a whole nuther thing. I am naturally skeptical and rarely take anything I hear or read as true. Most everything is taken out of context, it is the way spin works. Their actions now and ongoing is what I'm interested in.
No matter what the disagreements are here, I believe we all have each other's back. I've seen it here, over and over again.
MrsJones,
I will be glad when it IS over. You are right about how some have resorted to name calling because somebody disagreed with them. I usually refrain from the political posts because people get real stupid over it all.
The sad thing is that whoever does get in will probably not even do the things they promised.
