Now that is funny to me...because one of my all time bestest closest friends EVER...(we were in each others weddings)...screwed up and did it with a much older sister (he is a GQ cover model).....and then married her totally out of guilt once back in....then they screw up even more by having a kid...she already had some btw....now i loved both of these people...but they were oil and water!!!....it was just hell...and i helped out all i could to keep the peace and make the family work....but finally...divorce....now these two friends...still in da truf....have been celibate for 26 frikkin years!!!!!......i swear i got drunk one night and wanted to bone her just to set him free...but i needed three more grocery bags for my head.........oompa

actually momz....that is not even a distant third!...and awful and weird story, but c'mon i was not married to a crack whore!.....this crap is not uncommon with druggies...except for the poor chump raising everyone else's kids!.....however I know a bro who married a sis 19 years older than him with three kids and one on the way!...her husband had died....now just about everyone thought he was nuts....but they have had a great marriage......maybe your guy is just a great caretaker or somethings.......weird....but not in the running.....oompa

I heard a story about a sister whose husband was sleeping with someone while she was delivering their child! He got this other woman prego, too! What a jerk!

I won't tell you my story but a truely poignant one I remembered from my youth.

There was a young witness man, I can't remember now but he had quite a few problems, illnesses, I think he had epilesy/migraine issues and he had very slow speech and many thought he wasn't so clever but he was a good man if you took the time to know him you found he had the kindest sweetest heart and looked on the world with a kind of innocence that is so rare these days. He was only average looking and held down a good but honest job, although he was still quite young (about 20) it was kind of accepted that no one thought he would marry because of his problems, There was an older sister, nearly 40 with 3 children she was kind and lovely but married to a violent controlling man who eventually abandoned her and their 3 children and ran off with another woman. One messy divorce later she became strong for her kids and I think that had decided her never to marry again, I was only a teen when I remember a coach trip to an assembly, I think the young man had help her with luggage, he was kind like that and they had that friendliness that people have from spending years of being in the same congregation together, and inadvertantly ended up sitting near each other for the journey to and from the assembly chatting, I think that was the start of them falling in love.

1 year later to the shock/surprise of the congregation they got married and were quite the happiest couple I ever met, Some people were still a little disapproving because of the age difference and that his problems ment he wasn't so intelligent but he proved to be a loving husband and a good father to the children despite the age difference his oldest stepson was 14 and my friend, It was clear they adored each and she I think found his gentle ways soothing after her past, and within a couple of years she got pregnant. and I remember seeing him come in the hall with his newborn daughter in his arms, no man was happier or prouder than I saw him with his child and it was a surprise too because his wife was well into her 40's by now. They were a happy popular family

The child was one year old when one night her father must have gone downstairs to not disturb his wife while he had one of his bad migraines which he got a lot with his epilepsy, next morning when he was found, he had died peacefully while sitting in the chair, after the post mortem the doctors said his brain had been a ticking time-bomb no one new about and he was lucky to be alive so long. I never saw a couple more opposite or more in love and they had 3 happy years together and I remember the sister coming to my mums who was a particular friend just to talk about him and sometimes she cried a little but she smiled when their little daughter would run up to her, she was a lovely happy healthy child. I moved away from home and congregation, I saw the sister again years later with her young happy teenage daughter with her, she hadn't remarried.

It made me realise there can be real love stories out there!

It reminded me of a story of abrother we had in our congregation that was born blind and he met and married a really lovely girl. They had a couple three kids. He had a regular paper delivery job, and his wife, before the kids, would count off footsteps with him from one apartment door to the next where the papers had to be delivered. It looked to be very hard! But he did it for years, and his dedication to that job helped him raise that family with minimal problems. One time he did fall in the pool, and he got a big charge outta that!

OK, my story doesn't even touch any of these....

My ex and I had four kids we were raising, one was mine, 3 was his. 3 of them were teenagers, and were causing some problems in our marriage. I wasn't innocent, as I had begun to do my "pulling away, and putting that wall back up". I knew something was wrong, but in my heart, thought we'd work it out. until.......

I got a phone call after I had done a 24 hour ER shift in south dallas. "Come see this video of your husband....."

It seems he started an affair with a young woman in the office of where he works. She was married to a cop. This cops sister followed them to one of their friends house. The video showed them making out in the living room. They weren't paying attention to the person on the front porch with a video recorder.

I also had bought him a 200 disc CD player, and superglued most of his CD's in it. I won't tell the story of what happened that night. But it did involve him having severe sleep apnea and a foley catheter.....(some of you here, already know this story)........OH, and it rained about 20 gallons of water in his gas tank....TX rainstorms are a bitch!
