The promise of 'Armageddon soon' has become a worn out mantra that will eventually outstay it's welcome. The facts speak for themselves. JWs cannot retain their youth because the message they preach is out of date and noninclusive.
When a person wants to believe a thing, they will make up all kinds of reasons to 'prove' they are correct. Take anything a Jw says about excitement within the organization with a grain of salt. The facts speak to the contrary.

I would take a look at the current yearbook and see if the numbers add up. Also talk is just that talk. The real pioneers have gone by the wayside.
My wife and I use to be in charge of the arrangements ( breakfast, lunch, late afternoon snacks ) for the pioneer school for about five years in the nineties. We would meet with them and eat at the lunch table with them and hear thier experiences and listen to some parts of the school back then.
Those were real pioneers back then, as for today, it's coffee, then more coffee, then more ways to kill time while putting in your time.
One may have the pioneer title, but, are they really searching for the deserving ones. I doubt it.
As one Elder who passed away use to tell me in his later years just before he died, "It's all a facade."
