My mother tells me she prays to Jehovah every night that I come back to "The Truth".
Recently, I did something nice for my extremist JW aunt and she was moved by my generosity. This is the same woman that refused to acknowledge my presence in a hospital room when I visited my uncle. Anyway, she was so moved by my offer that she wondered whether it would be ok to pray for me.
Are you df'd or da'd? If so, her wondering if it's okay to pray for you after all means she is thinking a tiny bit.
My affection for others made me think that it was not right to give up on them.
It's a start. JW's have that part of them numbed or controlled. It's good when they tap into it themselves and begin to think, even if it's a tiny amount of thinking that goes against policy.
This is where someone feels compelled to say: Nothing fails like prayer.

I think some JWs might pray for my excruciating death, but that's about it.

I'm just "inactive".
Min, they have a pill for that now. I guess it gets the little feller reactivated, so to speak.
Wouldn't know, personally, as I'm still "active," and I just pray that I can stay that way!

That reminds me of the movie "Artificial Intelligence" where the robot is praying for eternity for God to rescue him from his underwater abyss.
