Good job! One reason they think they can get us back is that they think they have the truth.. It makes me think of an elder once that asked me " do you still believe in the truth?" What arrogance, and what a stupid question. I like your reply when she asked you are you going to come back to the truth " I am in the truth".

I am just stuck on the fact that you could not walk you daughter down the aile. Why? My dad was the worst dad ever in so many ways. I mean he ran around undressed in front of me and kept the door open when he was doing things to himself that a child should not have know about but when I got married I could have had him walk me down aile. There was no way that I wanted him to even touch me much less walk me down the aile. He was no dad to me as a little girl so he would not play that part at my wedding. But I could have at the KH had him walk me down the aile. It just blows me away the unfairness of this religon. Sorry about that I know it is painful because it bothered my dad that I chose not to have him. I walked down by myself I felt no one cared that I was abused as a child so I was by myself and I will alwasys be by myself.

sometimes it just gets old...and sometimes I get weary when they pull this crud. I think you handled it as best as you possibly could.
We just got a letter from Sams mother..she won't call on the phone, doesn't receive calls from him and basically, she can't allow him to exist in her world but we just got a letter from her. She's in her 80's and the tone of the letter was so sad and emotionally draining. She said it was her 'dream' that one day she would get a call from him to say he has been reinstated. She said she was so sad at her son being 'out'..and that now he has a granddaughter, it's even more reason to hurry back. (even though he has been told he won't ever see her) She said that she didn't know if it was right for her to send the letter - she said it was okay for his elder brother to talk to him, but she was worried that she was doing something wrong in writing to him.
I'm so sick of this crap......anyone that thinks that a religion that scares an old woman or intimidates her into not speaking to her kids, that would rather see an old sick lady alone with nobody to care for her, that thinks that its okay or normal to tell family to act this way - all I can say is go back and look in the mirror and see who you really are. Religion should build you up and make you better - not tear you down and bury you while you are alive. Support allows this sort of crap to continue and if you choose to be part of a system that supports it ....

that would rather see an old sick lady alone with nobody to care for her, that thinks that its okay or normal to tell family to act this wayYes that is the truth...It is true in my life...My daughter was allowed many years ago, after I came out of hospital to come & clean for me, (4 days,)I told you after putting the money in her bank a few weeks ago she DID e-mail me & say thanks... Which I will hang on to!!!! but must never speak to me again??? So If I get very ill they may ALLOW her to visit, I wonder if I die will she come to the funeral????
