Or, he would rather talk to you on the phone or in person.
BA- Texting is popular but very impersonal, wastes time, and it is easy to misconstrue meaning.
PS- A call gives one an opportunity to talk and is natural, texting is unnatural and impersonal.

I ignore text messages sent from my wife. If she can't exert enough energy to call me and have a normal conversation, then I won't exert any energy to send her a reply text. I think text messages are rude and impersonal. I ignore all that aren't business related.
That being said, I think this guy is just putting you on ice. There's nothing better than ignoring a woman and then watching her go crazy trying to get the guy's attention. He may be seeing other women. Since it's the holidays, he may have picked his favorite girlfriend to take home to meet the family.
Maybe he is no longer interested in you? Maybe he's busy? My advice is to put him on ice. Ignore him. Make him go crazy trying to get your attention. If he wants you, he'll chase you. Wait it out, and eventually he'll chase you, or eventually you'll find yourself moving on to other guys. Don't worry too much and by all means, enjoy the holidays!

I'm old fashioned when it comes to chasing. Men should chase, not women. When men do it, it seems fun and playful, when women do it, it just seems desperate.
