yoyo, thank you for responding.
First, I don't think that I am making something out of nothing. What the WTS did was hypocritical and Jesus exposed the scribes and pharisees of his days for hyprocrisy. To Jesus, it was a big deal. And I feel that if Jesus is the least bit concerned with the organization known as Jehovah's Witnesses, it's a very big deal. What happened to relying on Jehovah? Why did they have to align themselves with the scarlet colored wild beast for information. Didn't that show a lack of faith on their part, could not Jehovah provide them with needed knowledge?
Second, you said that I am imputing wrong motives where there are none. I'm not sure where you are getting that idea but let me make this one point clear. I do not feel that the members of the GB are evil little men out to mislead 6 million people. I think that they genuinely believe that they are being used by Jehovah, that they really are the FDS. I think they are genuine about what they teach in the magazines. I just personally do not believe that they are the FDS. They are no different than the Mormons, 7th Day Adventists or any of the other cults that feel they are the one and only source of spiritual enlightenment. To me they are just another religion.
What I do have a problem with is when their policies, rules, laws, whatever you want to call them, negatively affect the lives of it's members. It does not build up ones faith, IMHO, it tears it down.
I could go on and on, but it's late and I am really tired.
Ask yourself this, though, what scriptural proof is there that they are the FDS? Do you genuinely believe that they are because you have read scriptures in the bible that identify them as such, or do you believe it because that has been handed down to you and it is so because they say it is so.
Someone recently posted something about 5 gorillas put into a cage. It was really a good story. Maybe someone will post it again as it goes along with what I just stated.
