I wish I could help flipper by offering some useful advice but I think I'm tending to agree with the mystery aspect. Womens stories are largely as yet unwritten. Maybe if guys could help us with the "writing up" aspect.....
I guess they would need to get in touch with and develop their feminine side first or concurrently?

Keeping to my acquired "keep it simple stupid" philosophy of life, and reflecting on what has turned out to be most important and most productive in my past marriage and present marriage, I would have to say the quality I most appreciate in a man is KINDNESS.... and next, a ready smile.
Hubby embodies both of these. I recall him bringing me to his dairy farm on our second date. The two farm dogs were delighted to see him, several cats came running and circled his ankles to be petted and when we stood at the cow yard gate the dairy cows came right up to the gate jostling each other for position to get closest to him to learn 'what he was up to' now. And suddenly the light bulb in my head lit up the fact that this is a very kind man. And that fact has been born out through the 34 years I have been privileged to be his wife.
Kindness will effect any and every life scenario one could imagine; basic, everyday, natural kindness.

That's it!!!!! EMPATHY!!!! And love for nature. How a man treats the most vunerable creatures on this earth is a direct indication of his character. How very lucky you are!!!!!!
So Mr Flipper here's my list....empathy, love for nature, strong(I'm a strong woman...I can't stand wimps), honesty, loyalty, ethics in both personal and professional dealings.........and of course the ability and WILLINGNESS to be affectionate.....oh and acting classy in public helps!!!

FLYING HIGH NOW- Passionate kisses , warm clothes, nice comfortable bed, great music in your life - a perfect start for any man to bring to a woman .
OOMPA- Somehow your wife wanting you to come back to the kingdom hall doesn't sound too romantic !
JW DAUGHTER- Yes, a good song ! Passionate kisses are good ! And a guy who is handy with power tools doesn't hurt either !
CAMEO-D- What a freaky experience a woman losing her hearing due to a rough kiss by her guy ! Hope she gets her hearing back !
NEWBORN- A very good point you make. I feel very lucky to be with my wife and any man worth his salt should express to his lady how lucky he feels to have her ! But express it with his actions ; not just words . Very true. The right guy will come along for you sis !
QUIETLY LEAVING- Good point you make about us men drawing out the " mystery " in a woman. I agree that a man should have a masculine and feminine side. If he's in touch with both he will come off as secure to his partner - and he'll reach her emotions better.
TALLEY- Kindness is HUGE in a man earning a woman's respect ! It's interesting that your husband's animals even saw his kindness . When I fell in love with Mrs. Flipper - her animals took to me right away as well. Animals can really sense authentic kindness in humans for sure !
REKLESS- Very true- Newborn will find a good man, I believe too.
MANDETTE- Very good list you have ! Empathy , love of nature, ( strength in a man- my wife loves that too, she tells me it's one of the things she likes in me ) . Honesty, loyalty, ethical & classy in private and public ! I think you hit some main points there ! Good ones !

What I may say is going to sound a lil odd I'm sure. I want/expect nothing from him, I have everything I need, I am whole, complete without him - he should understand that . This allows him to be free and in that freedom he would give so much more of himself and visa versa.

This is top of any man list. It's a given.
Flipper, I was feeling silly when I posted that song, but chemistry and passion are important. But passion and zest for life is important in whether a man is attractive to me in the first place.
I can post a serious list for you, but not now. I am not up to pondering this tonight.
