You don't have to belong to a religious organization to hold to a belief, wouldn't you agree?

If, as you say, you believe the bible is from God and Jesus died for our sins, etc., don't you also believe that people who don't hold to that same belief are lost? Bob

I agree totally; I don't belong to a religious organization, yet I believe the Bible is God's Message.

If, as you say, you believe the bible is from God and Jesus died for our sins, etc., don't you also believe that people who don't hold to that same belief are lost?

    Nope.

You'll have to explain that to me then.....

Do you believe the bible teaches belief in the ranson sacrifice as the only way of salvation?

I believe the Bible does teach that; I also believe everyone who has ever lived is going to be made aware of that fact.

The Bible's Message is that the Blood of the Lamb is a sin offering for the whole world (1 John), yet roughly 2/3 of the world is apparently oblivious to that teaching because the Holy Spirit directed the Apostle Paul to take the Message westward to Europe (Acts 16).

Those of us in Western Countries who know, or should know, about the Ransom have an edge on those who don't, but all are eventually going to acknowledge that the Lamb is worthy of praise and worship (Revelation 5).

The Message is one of hope, not dread.

I have always called it a joke too.

Son, you know death can not hold you, so go down and experience a little pain and die and be raised again. Might be fun!

To think of how many fools in history have died for this story, in far worse ways then the Jesus character did .... SICK

    Christianity is a complete joke!

So you do believe that if someone doesn't accept that ransom death of the biblical Jesus then they are lost.(?) It's only a message of hope if a person accepts that, correct? If, on the other hand, a person chooses to believe differently then they would be considered.....what, if not lost?

I'm confused about this. It seems you want to say you believe in the bible, but then not admit that the bible teaches God will destroy you if you don't beleive in the ransom. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Gymbob

Let me recap this, If you are not a Jehovahs Witness and you are talking about Jesus sacrafice.

Then you are talking about Jesus being God.

And a God who is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent, So he is all knowing and all powerful and everywhere at al times.

He knew you before you were born and what you were going to do before you did it.

He knew Adam and Eve before he made them. And he knew they were going to sin.

He knew this but it still caused him to throw a fit and have a tantrum, throw them out of the garden and curse them and have all of their offspring carry this curse.

So God knew we were all going to sin including our great grand parents Adam and Eve,

And So he decided to kill himself to appease himself?

So he could be just and fair to himself.

I have a hard time beliving that.

I think heaven or paradise would be a lot like earth run by the same crew who are runing earth.

I think the whole sacrafice thing is something concocted by the preist class to get their 10% with out doing manual labor.

And if there is a God,I hope he is not bipolar and psychotic.

On the other hand if he was bipolar and psychotic that would explain a lot of things.

How about all of us stepping back and taking a deep breath?

    All right, that's much better.

I believe the Ransom covers everyone, but some are going to make a deliberate choice to reject it.

Those who choose to reject the Ransom, knowing full well what is at stake, are headed to the lake of fire. There will be no place for them anywhere in the universe! Why should there be?

This, I believe, is what the Bible means by the second death.

Why don't you all read the Bible again for the first time, especially the parables of Jesus and Revelation, and draw your own conclusions? After all, that's what the Bible itself urges us to do.

And MKR, I don't take too kindly to being called a liar. This is a discussion board, not a courtroom.

    Thank you.

    Sylvia
