  Any Christian authors who are prolific end-times commentators can make similar claims. As one looks at human history; it is assured that there will be cycles of economic distess, plagues, famines, and wars. All one has to do is claim that at some future time, a major ________________ will happen. Just fill in the blank. At some point, it will most likely come true.

  Prior to 9/11, there were radical clerics proclaiming that the "Great Satan" U.S. would be humiliated and that servants of Allah would strike a blow at the empire. Were they prophets? No, they were speaking in generalities in predicting something with high probability.

  Again there is nothing prophetic in the bible that holds any merit since poverty was apparent in those times just as it is apparent in are times.

  I predict that when I happen to run into this friend again, I will be telling him how I went and found this article, and then I predict that I will be telling him how full of SHIT he is for believing such broad, vague, non-descript shit from a group of uninspired, anonymous, ghost writers.

  Un-freakin-believable that he would actually spout off that an older 1981 Awake! magazine article was actually referring to today - 2008!! How much dumber do you think they can make the flock??

  Regardless if the WitchTower prophesied about the coming demise of the World, one thing can be garnered from the raw data presented - THIS IS NOT GOING TO BE A CORRECTION but rather a GREAT DEPRESSION greater than the first. I'm not a religio and could give two shits about religion, however, the raw data, numbers and conglomeration of events happening ALL point to a SHIT STORM that will relegate America and the World to third world status. You may see one more bounce in the markets, Elliot wave theory, but it will be the last... VERY HARD times are coming.

  Not even close to a bottom. They are calling $20 oil and REAL stats are showing 16% unemployment. FED is buying treasuries to stabilize prices - won't work, as are the Jews.
