Password, good point! They can thank Russell for the "class" silliness.

Although I haven't seen a magizine in a very long time, it doesn't suprise me that they keep mentioning the

faithful and discreet slave over and over again, because they presently have a lot of egg on their faces. With the pedophila scandals and the blood issues and the multimillion dollar law suits, they are looking pretty bad right now in the eyes of the witnesses. Well lets say the witnesses that notice. Some witnesses wear blinders.

I don't think that the WTS can mend their mistakes this time. That is why I think they may be harping about themselves in the magzines so frequently.

I've also noticed that they've been plugging that Matt 24:45 scripture into almost every magazine this year. I don't know if they feel like they're losing control or what. I wish there were another Franz incident so we could find out what the GB has been thinking lately.

Without the "faithful slave" doctrine, I can't see them maintaining control. To Witnesses, Jehovah has allowed Jesus to have some control, and Jesus gives instructions to the "faithful slave". It would be foreign for Witnesses to get to know Christ personally.

My mom and I were talking over lunch about the FDS a few months ago. I asked her if she (very independant widow) would let a group of men she didn't know take over her life and tell her how to dress, tell her what to do with her money....especially to them, tell her where she should be at any time, how to think, how to speak, lecture on her sex life, tell her what God REALLY means in the Bible etc. Of course she said "No Way Jose" then why would you let these 17 penises do that very thing. She said that if all was taken away she would still have Jehovah. I agreed that that was all she really needed in the first place.

Doesn't the Bible say ONE mediator? Jesus?

I vaguely remember a wt magazine many many years ago quoting a nazi propagandist of the third reicht stating something to the effect, that if you told a lie often enough and long enough you would eventually get the masses to beleive anything.Isn`t that just the way the f&ds class operate?

What never ceases to stun me about these articles is the lack of actual evidence and scriptures to prove their claims.

I know what you mean. I can't believe I ever read this crap. Or that I ever stuffed down my questions about it so many years ago.

the paragraph claims that Jehovah provides direction to the slave, stating "We can therefore have full confidence in the Scriptural insight, understanding and guidance that we receive from the slave."

“The great masses of the people will more easily fall victims to a big lie than to a small one.” - Adolf Hitler, “Mein Kampf” (Ch. 10.)

"A fool will believe anything." —P ROVERBS 14:15

"THERE is a difference—a big difference—between education and propaganda. Education shows you how to think. Propaganda tells you what to think. Good educators present all sides of an issue and encourage discussion. Propagandists relentlessly force you to hear their view and discourage discussion. Often their real motives are not apparent. They sift the facts, exploiting the useful ones and concealing the others. They also distort and twist facts, specializing in lies and half-truths. Your emotions, not your logical thinking abilities, are their target.

The propagandist makes sure that his message appears to be the right and moral one and that it gives you a sense of importance and belonging if you follow it. You are one of the smart ones, you are not alone, you are comfortable and secure—so they say."------Jehovah's Witnesses Official Website

There's a sentence in the book they're studying just now which says something like "According to substantial evidence available, from 1918 onwards Jehovah provided the needed cleansing for anointed Christians, purifying their worship, practices and doctrine."

They, of course don't cite the evidence that is apparently available in substantive quantities and completely gloss over the available facts that the Bible Students believed up until 1943 that Christ had returned in 1874, had a 'pagan' cross on the front of the WT and celebrated Christmas.

Well, when one belongs to the faithful and discreet mavericks there is not need for evidence or scriptural claim. It's enough to do their mavericky thing, don't you know
