Let me twll you something that shows how wicked and stupid their "new light" and "fds" docrine is:

If by any change their paradise doctrine is true, and a witness from 1920's to 1980's would be resurrected.... that witness would be disfellowshipped in the new system for believing wrong doctrines!

Very true Da Cheech, except that the GB would claim that at resurrection, Jehovah would bring them up to date on the latest understanding. I also understand Jehovah would be providing rubber boots, a gas mask, and shovel to dig through the crap.

This should be compared and contrasted with May 15th 2007 WT pg31, " genuine anointed Christians do not demand special attention. They do not believe that their being of the anointed gives them special insights.. ".

So, individual anointed Christians do not have special insight from Jehovah or his spirit. Only the slave class can make such a claim. This 2009 article, IMO, is moving ever closer to the 'new light' that the FDS is in fact the Governing Body. (Which we knew all along.)

Excellent point. I bolded your statement password re: your opinion that the Goeverning Body will bring out new light that the FDS is in fact them. This is so convenient it won't even require lube. I can see the WT article now.: 'Jesus promised a FDS to give food at the proper time. Then they will shift to the one passage they twist about there actually being a Governing Body, Acts 15. After an exhaustive 3 part WT study where many words will be used, but few substantial points made, they will conclude that since not all the annointed made the decision of Acts 15, but only a few, it will stand to reason that a similar situation would exist today.' This will give the GB the theological room to do something I can clearly see they want to` ddo with all of the references to "genuine annointed ones." Which is the ability to "appoint" those who are actually "genuine annointed". For this, I am sure they will use the few references on how the apostles "laid their hands" on certain ones and how that too is being fulfilled in our day. No more will someone be able to say that Christ spoke to you through the spirit and told you that you are spirit annointed without the express permission of the Governing Body, er, the Faithful and Discreet Slave. Have I mentioned before that the only real reason that the Governing Body uses the bible is to cement and maintain their own authority?

This in fact would be a flip-flop rather than new light perhaps?

Charlie T Rustle and Da Judge were both personally viewed as the FDS were they not?

According to the new Examining the Scriptures Daily, it's the "faithful slave class."

The last discussion my dad and I had a couple of months ago (the last time he spoke to me) he said the FDS is the Governing Body. So, for him the doctrine change won't require much brain-re-wiring.

@ besty - Ruddafud said that the WTBTS were not the FDS, Russell was (even though he was wrapped in a toga and living in a wooden box). Obviously Ruddafud later binned that teaching and replaced it with the WTBTS being the FDS. Obviously he pulled all the strings at Bethel.

So, individual anointed Christians do not have special insight from Jehovah or his spirit. Only the slave class can make such a claim.

Which demonstrates that if you have enough individual units of nothing, you can combine them to have something. Makes perfect sense.

"We can therefore have full confidence in the Scriptural insight, understanding and guidance that we receive from the slave."

Give us an an demonstrable example of this insight, understanding and guidance; maybe something more recent than a coal delivery to Bethel.

"Jehovah also blesses his slave class with his holy spirit."

What does this mean? Is it like when someone blesses me with a smile, or is it like when someone blesses me with $100?

"genuine anointed Christians ... do not believe that their being of the anointed gives them special insights.."

In other words, they don't know what they're talking about. On that we agree. Why then should I give any consideration to what they have to say?

    @ nathan;

In other words, they don't know what they're talking about. On that we agree. Why then should I give any consideration to what they have to say?

Exactly. It's a shame the JWs can't join the dots. The whole thing is right there hidden in plain sight.
