Well if nothing else, it should put two of the biggest wind bags outta business. Jessie Jackass and the Retard Al Sharpton.

IMHO they've done more harm than good.

The organisation made a mistake. I would have let them set it up, although why do white men need support as they are the holders of power (until 20 Jan!). The group would fold within months. The funny thing about thses groups is even if it is a black group, white members should be allowed to join (if they support the groups objectives). Crazy world huh?
Same a place, I believe a few years later. A gay student group got mad at a Christian student group because it excluded gays, and got the student association to pass a rule that all campus groups had to admit anybody/everybody to their group. It backfired when about twice as many Christians as gays showed up for the next meeting of the GLBT organization.

MTSGRAD- I think 2008 was a great year for black people , and I think 2009 will be an even better year for black people ; as well as for the United States of America. I think Obama will bring about some very important economic changes which will help people of all races.

Your question of whether " racism exists in our country ? " . Let me think. Uh, yes of course it does. Just as it does exist in the United Kingdom in your country I'm sure. Especially in certain parts of our country which ignorant people won't let go of the abusive hateful racists attitudes from the 1800's. People who judge people by their skin color instead of accepting everyone as human beings who are all equal.

I think you are making things more complex and complicated than they are. Our country will do great under the leadership of an African American as president. And this will benefit blacks, whites, hispanics, asian, native americans - and any other race you can think of living in our borders. Ok - I'm done

Obama has spent $800,000,000 putting himself on a pedastle. I think that warrants asking questions about him.

Shouldn't those questions been asked during the campaign?

I have never looked to a president to validate my ethnic/racial/gender/religious identity.

Politics more then often divides people by education and finances.

Being a democrat, he will be looking to bolster FDR's & LBJ's initiatives.

I think too often non-Americans mistake the poorer, less-educated stereotypes of the black community to the realities of hardworking, educated Americans who are pursuing the American Dream and happen to be black.

Our history shows it takes time but we are a melting-pot.

I think there is a percentage of black Americans who dont understand the process. They will be very put out when Obama doesnt open a lot of doors, very quickly for them.

These will be the folks who take him out...everyone thinks the KKK or some Aryians will do this... I think Obamas largest threat will be from black young men who think they are being shortchanged by the New Administration.

Shouldn't those questions been asked during the campaign? Obama has so much wealth he largely bypassed the traditional media avenues. That is fine when things go well. When he is under pressure a very different Obama will be seen.

When he does fall it will be a sorry sight to see.

I got on this late but is there such a thing as a half black person in America? See in my mind in America to be black mean to be of African ancestry but that doesn't mean that the person is wholy African. I'm black but I know for a fact that I am not wholy African. Obama is black but he is not wholy African. Does anyone get what I'm saying?
