Very nice to read everyone's thoughts. We are having a great holiday season so far. I am feeling very good and it seems to be lasting a while lately.

There is so much to love about life.

    I love:

Laughing and making people laugh. Saturday night was the bears' xmas party and I had a blast being silly and making up songs to go with all the presents people had brought for the Chinese xmas game. I love remembering big laughs I have shared with my friends over the years.

Cozy intimate times with friends when you need them or they need you and you share thoughts over a well prepared dinner or just a quiet moment on a walk in the woods or on a porch swing.

Discovery, like walking through a museum and turning a corner and seeing a new piece of art and falling in love with the art of a new artist or being surprised to see a piece that you have loved for years and getting to see it in person, or the same feeling at hearing a new song or a new movie or a new book. Reveling in the creation of others.

    I feel like I'm turning a corner.

    hugs

    Joel,

Isn't great to see how many people really have so many similar joy's and appreciation for life?

I really believe that in society at large, those who are willing to let their guard down, show some emotion, are healthier for it.

You Joel are an example to all of us. You do wear your heart on your sleve, and cause me to reflect often (before taking the assigned macho man attitude), that there may be more to consider, more to understand, before passing quick judgement. We need more people like yourself.

If turning a corner, means we show more love for our fellow man, we are accepting ourselves for who we are....than count me in on the effort to complete the turn.

    Thanks for your comments Joel

I like going to my town's biggest shopping mall at Christmas time (after finding a parking spot a mile away).

In the center court, there's a water fountain where the water 'dances.' It has eight spigots and every 10-15 minutes, the water is timed to shoot into the air at timed intervals. It shoots up from a few inches to over thirty feet. Kids of all ages (and I mean ALL ages) stop what they're doing or make a special trip just to see the performance. The oohs and aahs and giggles echo all around. Watching the people's reaction is just as good as watching the water.

Just to the side is a two- or three-piece band that plays Christmas carols. Yesterday's was a piano, bass and trumpeter. They were faithful to the melodies but jazzed them up just right. Very warm and entertaining. My favorite, "Have Yourself a Merry Christmas" was played especially warm and got a rousing applause.

I love this time of year. If we let it, the kid comes out in all of us.

I love it when my daughter calls me out of the blue.

Well... not really. She's only three.

But I STILL love talking to her, as she's learns more and more words and expresses ideas of her own, often funny, sometimes very clever and unsuspected.

tj - just thinking of his Friend, and how it must feel to have heard from his Baby Girl after so long ... (it brings tears, I tellya... for true)

    Hey,

Now you go and stir up (tear's) in this big bear..you instigator you!

Your right TJ life is so unpredictable, when you thinks things can't get any worse. 'Out of the blue' comes a telephone call, that changes your life. Too MUCCCCH my man.

I reread this thread, there was some great comments, almost had forgotten about it.

I know how much you love your little princess. She must be a little pistol, if she takes after her daddy?

I have no doubt, she will be able to stand on her own, take no crap from anyone....guess?

Thanks for bringing this back up.

    Talk to you later friend.

    Danny,

For the record, my little one is no princess. Well... not all the time, anyways. Sometimes she's a goll-durned tyrant. OK... so there! I admit it!!

Sometimes she's a straight-up monster. There have even been split seconds when I really didn't like her. But, we're talkin' split seconds. Fractions of time -- hardly recordable by any means known to man, you unnerstand. I LOVE that little monster... more than words can say. She is my life.

    Talk atcha soon...
