Sincere question for Christians

So how does that apply to people who died before Jesus even came, like Moses? Did I miss something?

Another good question - but probably one for another thread. I'm asking believers what they believe, and why, regarding the "eternal destiny" of people today (or in the recent past) who never had opportunity to demonstrate belief, or faith, or whatever.

Even from a human stand point is the following expression or motto

"Not all change will make for improvement but no improvement will ever come without change "

Good leadership recognizes that teaching and directing takes time... gaining trust and cooperative understanding

may requirer different approaches but with the ultimate goal of benefit to all. If you cannot see the end purpose

all is lost....... trust and insight are not options to proceed without !

My personal belief is that believers will realize that this in NOT a question for them to answer....you can't say judgment

is God's then turn around and say but .. this is what I would do or believe that God would do . To judge is to become

the JUDGE... I choose not to do this !

    Who should answer it, then?

    Is the question not important?

If the question is important, where does one find the answer, if a believer "shouldn't" do it? A non-believer wouldn't know, would he? And the one presumed source of direct communiation from God to man is silent on the matter.

Isn't the whole point of Christian proselytism to tell others "This is what I believe God will do, thus you should listen to me"?

What is the difference between Predestination (of those going to Heaven, and those going to Hell) and the JW teaching that only the ones that Jehovah "draws" will accept the message and be spared by Jehovah?

(John 6:43-44) . . .. 44 No man can come to me unless the Father, who sent me, draws him; and I will resurrect him in the last day.

Everlasting life is a free gift and cannot be earned, right? But, God only draws certain ones.

    It's all very confusing.

We can draw some conclusions, here: God is not big on "drawing" the Chinese. Nor is he particularly interested in "drawing" people from Muslim lands or Southeast Asia.

    Try Mathew 25, Romans 2 and 14, 2 Corinthians 5, Hebrews 9, and 1 John, for starters.
How many of those things did the 3-month-old baby accomplish to get into heaven?

None. Who said the babies are in heaven? Certainly not the Bible. Sylvia

I suggest you see what happens to Christians when they die. Informative video...

    Certainly not the Bible.

A-ha, now we are getting somewhere.

I have been told by more than one Christian that there are only 2 possible places to spend eternity after death, heaven or hell. No more, no less, just 2 - one or the other.

Is that not the orthodox Christian teaching?

Babies definitely die. So if there are no babies in heaven, does that mean that all babies go to hell?

Or is there a 3rd option?

If so, what is that 3rd option? Where can I find a discussion of "door no. 3" in the Bible? And is it open only to babies, or also to other persons who had no opportunity to demonstrate faith, due to ignorance?

Seriously, I'm not trying to be "smart", I want to understand - what you've described is (apparently) different than what I've been told.

Who should answer it, then? ....(God promises love now not a immediate answer to every question like the WT )

Is the question not important? ........( Don't sweat the small stuff.. it's all small stuff except God's love ) (My acknowledge personal opinion only )
