Hey, I spent 2 weeks in the UK at Christmas. I can give you some basic survival tips.

Tip #1. Expect to pay twice the price for everything.

Tip #2. If you ask where the washroom is people will look at you funny. Ask for the loo.

Tip #3. Switch to tea for the duration of your stay. The coffee tastes like dirty dishwater in most places.

Tip #4. If you're a Yank, say you're Canadian. The Brits never got over the Revolution. Canada is one of the few "colonies" they tolerate with good humor.

Tip #5. When crossing the road, look in the opposite direction for oncoming traffic or you might get hit. They drive on the WRONG side of the road there!

I better stop there or they won't invite me back!
