I have been thinking about some of your questions and something hit me over the head!!! You have the same access to research material as anyone else, why are you asking other people to do your research for you? Just a question, let me know.
oompa replied:
I ask these questions because I want you and dad to see my questions are sincere, and that that they are valid questions. Unfortunately, according to my research, many if not all of these rules and teachings are not found in or supported by the Bible, which is where answers for truth are found. So why is that?
If a man came up to us and said God had sent him, and was now using him as his exclusive agent on earth to reveal Bible truths, what would we do? First we would think he was a nut, but if he was convincing, we would closely examine what he was teaching and see if they were indeed Biblical truth. If he was old, we could check out the history of his ministry and see if he had a record so good at Biblical interpretation that it would prove he really was God’s mouthpiece to mankind. However, if we were this mans son, we would likely believe everything he taught us as we love him and would never question him since he has made it clear to us that he alone is being used by God to teach mankind.
No doubt there were many good sincere Jewish ministers in Jesus day that tried hard to live and teach what was written down for them in the Bible. Unfortunately, as some tried harder and harder to understand ever little nuance of the Bible, they began to claim that only their way was the correct path. These were the Pharicees, and the problem was that along with wielding too much power over the people, they had began to go so far beyond what was ACTUALLY written in Gods word, that their teachings were a hard burden for the flock. And they were wrong to do this.
I think the most important question I asked was about how we can prove the Faithful and Discreet Slave Class are actually what they are, and how can we prove it to others? I would expect that everything they have taught me must be very solidly Bible based and easy to prove. If these questions I asked are not...then what does that mean?
