When you take an oath to "tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth," is that subjective?
What is truth?

Outlaw have I ever told you how much I appreciate your point of view? Consider it done.

Jesus is the judge, let's see what he has to say.
Matthew 7:21 (New International Version)
21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Luke 6:46-47 (New International Version)
The Wise and Foolish Builders
46 "Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say? 47 I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. All the best, Stephen P.S. BTW, looks like Jesus and the Father are the same. -

I so agree with zagor's comment
We are not always faced with that profound question, we go through motions of life unconcerened about fundamentals and cornerstone one is what is really the truth. Sometimes though something happens that forces us to look deep inside to find what it is really that matters to us the most, and what it is we are living for. In those moments of sudden flash we are transformed, we see things clearly, it is not a religious experience, though some people like to see it that way. It is the moment we are finally faced with our own demons and are made better for it. Hence, the truth is something very personal that is reflection of each individaul soul
And I'll add that truths are therefore latent and we can bring them out and allow them to transform us but they have to be an expressed reality as sixofnine points out because that way we bring what is latent out into the open (my take on six). This is different from immutable truth that wants to push us towards an indentifiable future and is also different from truths based on facts and figures although they are useful to life.
When we bring what is latent into the open there is a destructive process we have to contend with and I think Zagor sums this up beautifully

Alright then, will those who don't believe in your jesus or your god pass into heaven?
I cant say for sure, all I know is I believe in Jesus & His Father ,I believe the Holy Spirit
is MY teacher. I am happier believing I am trying to follow the advice I have read in
scripture, any thing I buy ,has a book of instructions that come with it,if I dont follow the rules
the thing dont work right.. When I was following the rules of the WT I didnt work right,
I told all & sundry" You MUST be a Jehovahs Witness to live on earth"I screwed up.I f you think I am going to say to you .Yes!!!! your wrong, If you think I am going to say NO!
your wrong....I am going to say... I DONT KNOW!!!! You follow your" road map"& I will
follow mine. I pray for all on here nightly, hoping we all end up in a better place -

mouthy said "I pray for all on here nightly"
Well thank you so much for doing that. You obviously care for others a great deal. I am not sure what to believe anymore. I wish God would just answer me(so I can literally hear him). An all powerful God I figure, should be able to handle that. Again, thanks for your thoughtfulness.
If you believe the bible then Jesus is the way and the truth and the life
If you don't, well then does it really matter?

Truth about the afterlife is the same as truth about other things, ie, what we believe about it and what happens in the transition do not affect (at least very little) what it really is and what really happens. And so, a person can believe in jesus and that they are saved, or not. It changes little of what really happens. It's what we are, regardless of beliefs, that is important. Magic words have an appeal because they pretend to give instant change. However, what we really are, at the moment takes a bit more time to change. Faith is the nonexperienced one's bandaide/crutch. Not that there's anything wrong w crutches and bandaides. It's just nice to be able to do without them, after a while.

Musky... I felt like you for 2 years when I was kicked out of the JW Kingdom
I wanted to kill myself, but I did continue to pray.
Yes I agree with you. God could make it so much easier ,If he just yelled from the Heavens
what he required of us. But He made us ,not robots, but free to believe as we want.
The only way I came to believe in a GOD was to look at HIS creation. I have told him on many occasions
I think he goofed when he made man/woman...All else seems lovely ,but we became our own enemies.
But then I went to an exJW convention. Listened to the testimonys of so many who had been
abused by the wt,Asked for JESUS to come into MY heart. I believe He listened & came. I believe
I WAS born again.... A new Day!!! a New start, I dont look to anyone, but listen to all.take the sayings
that make sense to me disgard the ones that dont. I still goof ,but just as I forgive my kids goofsI take it that because He is greater than I He forgives me.
Love ya!!!!! Mouthy
