How about the fact that WWI started in 1914 months before Tishri 1? As a JW, I never understood that one.

Did the WT ever claim that Satan getting booted coincided with the Jewish calendar? If so, that would be a doozie for them to explain.
Nevertheless it is evident that this event closely followed the enthronement of Jesus Christ in heaven in 1914."
Well, if the FDS says it is evident, it must be so. But why then didn't we know earlier ?
What's so big about Tishri??
Just throw a spanner in the works.... it's a lesser known fact that World War One didn't offically end until 1919. What happened in 1918 was a signing of the Armistice which called and signalled an end to hostilities. It wasn't until June 1919 that the official and final Peace Treaty was signed in Versailles.
Evident to whom? Satan being thrown out of Heaven soon after Jesus took power is "evident". I will never understand how beliefs that are unprovable, happened "invisibly", happened where or when only a choice few saw it, etc. is so damn "evident" when the WT's stand on pedophilia, blood, and 90% of what they now teach as truth is so very "evident" to the world as being wrong. It's even evident to most JW's if they had the right to say so without suffering the consequences.
BTW: Leolaia, you made many good points. Bethel should read these comments so they'd learn something.
The teaching seems to have been that the war in heaven started in 1914, but that Satan wasn't finally expelled until 1918.
Yes Slimboyfat ...
The time between 1914 and 1918 likely is the transition time between being expelled from heaven and actually arriving here.
We can't determine exactly the travel time since we don't know the exact distance from here to heaven. But even at super-human speeds, there would certainly be significant time involved.
Plus, the Bible says that his angels "were hurled down with him." So he was not traveling alone. Obviously when you travel with a large group, there is more time involved than if you travel alone.
So it's hard to determine exactly when he arrived here and got settled in, buy it was sometime between 1914 and 1918.
Rub a Dub
I'am sorry THEY DON'T KNOW S H I T!!!!!!!
Whoever started WWI has got more than millions of lives on the battlefield to account for. They should also be held to account for handing the Watchtower serendipitous "proof" of its place in history.
