I've written before that I believe dubs that come in as adults are overly sensitive about the injustice and unfairness in this world. They also have a tremendous desire for justice for those being treated unfairly. They can't accept that the world is what it is. It just "has to get better." (heard this a lot from my JW mother when I was growing up. Still do.)

The WTS exploits those feelings by giving dubs a semblence of "helping" others by selling books and conducting Bible (term used loosely here) studies. The WTS promises that all the injustices will be addressed, sooner or later, by Jehovah. Dubs are so eager to hear this they can't or won't see the WTS's inconsistencies, manipulations, and outright lies.

It's a cult that feeds on dubs with oversensitive consciences by making them believe they're chosen to save the world. I'm talking about sincere dubs here, not the power-hungry elders and others with personal agendas.

I think many adult-converted dubs could have done a lot of good had they not been snared by the WTS.

I had one of those suitcases. My wife bought it for me when I became an elder.

Funny thing: the last few years of being an elder I kept it only in my trunk. I was embarrassed by it.

You are right. At the pastt assembley I just went to, everything regarding the ministry was made to seem as if the WTS has the corner market on preaching to people.The witnesses are the ONLY people who read their bible. The amazing part is they don't see it that way at all.

That was one of the brothers comments.

"There are 7 billion people in the world, but only 7 million are qualified to bear Jehovahs name" Give me a break.

The whole " My sh#% doesn't stink attitude is a big put off. Most think they are special and definetly NEED that re-assurance that yes....they are indeed special.

It couldn't have been put to me any better than what a co-worker told me about 4 years ago. I forgot exactly what we were talking about,but it was something the DUBS obviously didn't do.

Me : " I don't ________, I'm a Jehovahs witness."

Him: "So. What's that supposed to mean ?"

I'll never forget it,because it became crystal clear. All those years of my mom and others telling you, let people know you're a Jehovahs Witness.

I realized, no one gives a RATS ASS ! I'm finding out ( despite what many dubs may think ) Alot people either never heard of them ( it's possible ) or just think they're crazy.

And, what do they have to accomplish? Absolutely nothing. All they need to do is waste their time teaching people to read and memorize scriptures and Washtowel rags, and getting to the boasting sessions where all they do is learn how to become God machines.

Not one thing is legitimately special. They do not teach anyone the basics of how to read and write, except if it's to get them to become Jehovah's Witlesses and learn how to propagate the cancer. They do not help people fill out any forms that are useful in real life (field circus reports do not count). They do not teach people the skills needed to survive (like building, gardening, running a business). They do not support anyone that has fallen into hardship through no fault of their own, except if they intend to showcase it to support the cancer.

Effectively, being one of Jehovah's Witlesses is a great way to feel great and special about wasting one's resources (and creating dumbed-down people, often dumbed down from the normal range to the "mentally retarded" category all the while) in propagating this cancer.
