If we all had guns these pussy gangstas would not get away with killing more than one person.

Considering this happened in Alabama where gun laws/restrictions are nearly non existent, I think you boys are dreaming.

Oh really? There are restrictions in Alabama. But do we need more restrictions like in Europe? This German massacred 16 on the same day as the Alabama murderer.

Don't you know by now, burn, that a person who would murder sixteen innocent people would never break the law to obtain firearms?

To add insult to injury, there is a threat that if we try to take back the bonuses, that those high paid crooks will turn around and sue - and if they do so, it is even more likely that the US taxpayer will also foot that bill which could easily include lawyers in high places being paid 500-1,000 an hour.
If they tried to change a deal on me and take away what I had a contractural right to, I would sue too. Maybe all these evil execs should just walk away from their jobs and let Barney Fwank and Chwis Dodd try to run AIG.

BURN the SHIPS- Yes- it sure is a waste of human life. Disastrous actually .
GREGOR- I agree with your comment " it comes down to an innate flaw in the appreciation and valuing of life. " Most definitely. Empathy and compassion has flown out the window with a me first or selfish attitude in society. Even to the point of killing innocent people. It's sick and twisted. Very true we shouldn't let it rob us of too many happy moments in life ; but it is good to acknowledge how bat $hit crazy it is and to warn others about it.
SAMMIE's WIFE- Very true what you say. When people see companies like AIG bilking millions from taxpayers it's possible people would start a revolution over such atrocities ! The fact they have had death threats is certainly evidence of how angry people are getting with being stomped on . I do think Gregor's suggestion to go relax and have a glass of wine is a good sugestion. Think I'll take him up on that one tonight.
IP_SEC- Very true. If there were more guns in more homes - these a$$wipes would be less emboldened to go ape $hit.
KEYSER SOZE- Good point. If a guy kills 16 innocent people he'll stoop to any means to obtain a firearm.
I just heard on a radio talk show last night that gun shops and suppliers are running low on ammunition or the public. Orders are backlogged for the type of ammunition most people need for firearms. The reason ? Rumor has it that the federal government is limiting ammunition plants from supplying gun dealers large amounts of ammunition because they don't want the public stockpiling ammunition. The feds know they can't get gun control laws passed - so they allegedly are restricting how much ammunition is delivered to gun dealers. Talk about socialism ? Wow. So if a revolution started - many folks would NOT have enough rounds to protect themselves adequately. I heard this on the show " Coast to Coast " last night on A.M. radio with George Norrie

This here is Snowbird checking in.
Thanks for your concern, Mr. Flipper.
That guy was in east Alabama; I'm in southwest.
That was such a tragedy, but I'm not surprised. Things are pretty tense around here - especially between Blacks and Whites.
I worry about my little JW daughter who always has places to go and things to do.
Thanks again.

What's going on down there, Sylvia?

Hi, Dinah.
Nothing overt, just a few ugly words here and there.
I try my best to keep a low profile.

flipper: "Obviously there must be more to the story that was stressing this guy out."
I think you're right, flipper. Everyone has their share of rejection, fair or not, and most of us deal with it without resorting to violence.
IMO, there's something psychologically wrong with these killers. For instance, a teenage boy in my neighborhood has been trouble from tot-size on up. Even as a toddler, when something didn't go his way, he would throw a tantrum, but unlike any tamtrum I have ever seen, before or since. He was hysterical with fury.
As the years went by, he began to tote up quite a rap sheet. When he was 7 or 8 years old, he threatened a little girl with a knife. He vandalized our newly painted backyard shed with spray paint and threw a bottle of car wax onto our newly sealed driveway.
When he finally wised up to the fact that any crime in our neighborhood automatically pointed to him, he branched out into the rest of town. He's been charged and convicted for theft, possession of drugs, terroristic threats (he emailed some of his classmates and told them he planned to "blow them away.") He's threatened to kill his mother several times and actually attempted to strangle his younger brother.
He's been expelled from high school and now lives at home with his mother, who, incredibly, runs an illegal day care in her home (she's been shut down many times, but within a week or two, she has new idiot parents leaving their children with her and her psycho son).
This kid is now about 16 years old and still a bubbling cauldron of rage (why? I don't know.). He's been in juvie about 4 times and under house arrest twice (which he ignores). This kid is a ticking time bomb, and I've told the local police that very thing. One day he'll do something that will put him away for life. And some innocent will suffer because of it.
In the meantime, our neighborhood is just waiting. That's all we can do. Unless someone here has a better (and legal) suggestion?
