This past week, a guy in California, shot and killed 3 police officers and wounded another. He was on parole and had spent 6 years prior to this in prison. According to his relatives, he was distraught at not being able to find work and getting depressed, fearing he might end up back in prison. He was shot and killed in the melee.

You've got the rep Bachman from Minnesota who came out this past week and said that people 'should be armed and dangerous about the AIG' mess...then you have another rep from Texas who after a 3 hour discussion in house about budgets..asked 'what's medicaid'...he's only been a representative in government for 20 years...then you have the idiot that just yesterday called the Obama's 'trash in the white house'. Can you say far, far, far removed from the average person?

I saw all the talking heads today in their committee hearing on the bailouts. Every last one of them are crooks and I've come to the conclusion that the only reason for the bailout was so that they could all cover each others asses. There is no help for 95% of the people in this country with the same players at the top - and today, there is admittance that we may open up a world bank.

Last I heard, the reason you aren't getting ammo is because it's being 'delayed' from importation. In other words, if you can't regulate firearms...regulate the ammo. What good is the gun without the stuff to put in it?

    This country is so screwed.

SNOWBIRD- I'm glad you and your daughter are doing O.K. sis, I was worried about you. Thanks for responding. I'm sorry there is so much racial tension down there . You and your daughter please take care and be safe !

PARAKEET- What a crazy young man you've had in your neighborhood ! I bet the neighbors are just anticipating when this guy's gonna go off his rocker ! But I agree with you ; psychotic individuals like this start these trends early in life. They start out being spoiled brats who never get disciplined then progress to far more terrible offenses as they get older. Just be safe in your neighborhood , be careful.

SAMMIE's WIFE- I saw the news about the 3 police officers killed in Oakland, California - what a tragedy. It's horrible these people losing their minds have to take people with them when they kill themselves . I know the young man they stopped didn't kill himself , but essentially it was death by suicide by killing the police first- he had to know they'd blow him away after he killed 3 cops.

I agree that many people in this country are at the breaking point stress wise and are desperate. It could very well break into a revolution in time or anarchy forcing the government to institute martial law - if a huge number of people start acting on their pissed off lives. Very dangerous scene. Peace out, Mr.Flipper

Thanks for those words of concern and admonition, Mr. Flipper.

These are some very difficult, tense times. I talked with my sister in Atlanta on Sunday. She and her two daughters and a son, sons-in law and g'children live in DeKalb County. She said tensions are so thick there that it's almost unbelievable.

I'm sure everyone else in this country will breathe a sigh of relief when this year is over.

I think it's the mall cop mindset of the official pricks that run the US that is driving these people insane.

Humans didn't evolve in a cubicle or with someone looking over their shoulder telling them 'hey numbnuts your cutting that mastidon wrong...' The nitpicking, control freak bullshit is literally driving people mad... Mad people do mad things! The human mind isn't in a position to deal with this bullshit day in and day out! We had a guy shoot up the court house in the town I grew up in. They kept taking his paycheck and arresting him for not paying child support on a kid that WASN'T his! The mother even said it wasn't his! Finally he just went crazy! The more pc the more silly rules the more officiating NTSA type pricks there are in the world the more of this we are going to see! Especially among the... Less bright shall we say!? I can take a deep breath and move on. Some people can't it just builds and builds and builds until finally SNAP! And the idiot who's been giving you crap for the last decade has simply got to die. Why do you think the post office and high school are such popular places for shootings? Where on the PLANET do they have more stupid silly pointless rules then those two places? Thats why I really expect that the next rounds of shooting will be at the airports!

(I am NOT saying it's right I'm simply saying it IS going to happen)

SNOWBIRD- I do hope things calm down for your sister in Atlanta as well. I just wish all people in this country would bury racial hatred once and for all and see that as a country we have to work together to move forward. Racial prejudice is just plain stupidity propelled by ignorance. It's time to eliminate it.

MKR 32208- I agree with you. The powers that be that control people do drive people round the bend. Especially in schools and post offices . It's just a shame that when people go ape shit they often take innocent victims with them in murder/suicides instead of SOLELY going after the person or persons they have issues with. Thus innocent victims are robbed of living the rest of their lives out . In essence the crazy a$$ murderer CONTROLS the innocent victims by robbing them of life and their families . So not only the government, employers, and authority figures control the murderer but he or she controls the life prospects of innocent victims. A viscious cycle for sure

Well often it's not even the pricks fault per se the prick is just doing the job that is being pushed on them by another prick up the line... Probralby if the shooter would bring an extra gun the poor prick he's shooting would be glad to take the spare and both of them go up the line... One has to wonder where it would stop?

MKR 32208- Interesting point you make. If the guy that's being shot at joined the guy shooting him and went on up the line of command - it probably wouldn't stop until there was a revolution and overthrow of the powers that be. Of course, depending on who we are talking with - that might not be such a bad thing with the selfish huge corporations running this country. But then again if people start firing guns at random and all hell breaks loose - then we have anarchy - and that creates problems in itself. There are no easy solutions for sure. I prefer peaceful solutions to violence

    I prefer peaceful solutions, also.

However, for the first time, I'm considering buying a gun.

lol on a less serious, and simultaneously more serious note, I was on gunbroker.com and there was an auction for a bazooka that was disabled due to having the firing pin removed... The next auction up? One bazooka firing pin...

SNOWBIRD- I'm with you on seeking peaceful solutions for sure.

MKR 32208- That's funny about the bazooka. Exactly, what good is it without a firing pin ? I think the government would choose to take all gun owners firing pins out if they had a choice. Then they could control everybody more. A freaking police state ! No thanks
