Throughout the history of JW's, what years do think they strayed most from being "God's People"? Who was responible for this, and why do you think this?

To be totally honest, anyone who's ever been a true believer in the WTS, is in a small way responsible for the pain and suffering

that this cult has afflicted on so many people...which is why so many of us have left.

No longer would we perpetuate the Society's lies. No longer would we share in their blood-guilt. (transfusions, pedophilia, Malawi, organ transplants, hypocrisy, etc.)

Yet even now, there are many more who wish to leave, but are held in check because they know that

leaving the B0rg means losing their families.

There is nothing 'godly' about the JW's as an organization. Not now, not ever.

I don't know your history lurk3r, but if you have decided to leave the WTS, good for you.

They strayed from the very beginning - and you asked which years ? All of them. The Jehovah's Witnesses were always a mind control cult. Never a religion

well well well ! look at this! Ruthless villians indeed! lurk3rs history is still being written , it's not history till it it's in the past.

I admit, I made a "boo boo". I was at work and was thinking about my "incorrect post". Little did I know, I would stand about as much as of a chance with it, as a one legged man in an ass kicking contest. Point well taken people... thank you. That's gonna leave a mark.

Perhaps I should just post my thoughts, and see where it get's me. I was thinking about the worldwide church of god. It went down. I haven't checked posts about it here yet, but I'm kinda interested in it. Perhaps JW's will meet the same fate of their cousins, it looks like they had a similar doctrine. It led me to wonder if the introduction of the NWT, and subsequent "lowering" of Jesus may have crossed the line with "God"?

Edit: and thats not to even IMPLY that they were EVER on the right side either.

I agree that Russell was the start of the heresy and false doctrine and it has just snowballed over the years with the subsequent doctrinal changes and changes in leadership in the org.

I believe he was never saved (born again) or else he threw it away (if that can be possible)

    Matthew 7:16-19 (New International Version)

16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

    All the best,

    Stephen

    All religious movements are flawed.....

Russell went astray when he became too convinced of his own theories and interpretations....and stopped seeking God.

Should have died out with 1914 or with Russell in 1916....

As for the JWs (Rutherford's Baby) it was never about God Almighty, only god Editor Rutherford Almighty and his publishing business.

Knorr.... continuing and expanding the publishing firm

Franz..... his lifetime journey into dispensationalism and appeasment of ego.

Henschel..... just keeping the wheel spinning until he died enjoying ego, entitlement and ease

Jaracz..... ego, entitlement and not being the tool whom it is all lost under.....(delusion to some extent)

Losch...... TBD (but it appears to be a similar plight as Rutherford faced after between 1926-1931...... sink or swim)

The organization was started by snakeoil salesman CT Russell. He was a quack and a shyster. It went downhill from there.

    lurk3r,

You bring up the Worldwide Church of God story. I find it interesting too. I have also wondered if the WT could have a similar fate. They mainstreamed over a ten year period and lost over half their membership in the process. At least one of their past followers has seemingly gone off the deep end and began predicted end of the world dates. Hard to say where it will all end up.

I'm not going to bother about the Gods' people bit and if he strayed or not - I believe that Russels' initial intentions MAY have been to break away from what he thought was a stifling faith/religion and to have a group of people discussing the bible, I don't think he intended to have an actual organisation - as he is quoted in an old watchtower speaking against and actual organised religion (I don't have the actual watchtower or year as I got rid of all my old literature).

They are God's chosen, and they will be untill the end...no matter how we feel about JW's. The trueth will stand that God chose them as people to represent him in the last days.

Just like the Israelites questioned Moises, but in reallity God, today is no difference. Argue and comment against them but the trueth at the end shall surface about all of us. Its not logical to think that we are all God's People. I think by the way we act and the way we follow him will determine everything at the end. So ask yourself the question Am I?, or im i just being a Hater, a Judger of others (avenger)of my dishonest ways..

    Only you can answere that.
