Throughout the history of JW's, what years do think they strayed most from being "God's People"? Who was responible for this,and why do you think this?

  As a composite body, JWs have never strayed from the god of the Watchtower. Some individuals break free though.

  Marjorie: To be totally honest, anyone who's ever been a true believer in the WTS, is in a small way responsible for the pain and suffering that this cult has afflicted on so many people....

  I am glad you are here but please take the time to actually read the Finished Mystery and subsequent Rutherford era books.

  BTW the Israelites also deviated from God and had to be brought into judgement by God when they lost his favor. The Israelite religious leaders later rejected Christ because of their greed, pride and lustings for power & influence.

  The Finished Mystery is available on the internet and your KH library may have a copy too. Please check the edition date as the claims are only based on the 1917 edition. The 1918 editions onward are revisions.

  Remember the nine in NY are imperfect men and just like the imperfect men of BOEs everywhere ..... are capable of 'blocking holy spirit" by putting human interests above spirituality. Embrace the weekly bible readings for the CBS prayfully asking for full guidance of the holy spirit to better serve Jehovah.

  As everyone said they never were god's people but rather a corporation founded and run by Russell up to his death (he is buried in a masonic cemeterary a stone's throw away from a big masonic temple though it was built after his burial there) and pretending to be god's organisation. No doubt the WTS had occultic connections at least up to the death of Rutherford.

  However things did take a turn for the worse when Rutherford took over as he turned it into the dictatorial high pressure organisation we all know. In fact his successors made it even worse than he left it with the introduction of the disfellowshipping and blood ban policies.

  All along it acted as an impostor prophet claiming to be divinely appointed and speaking the words of god. They exploited to the nth degree the desire of people to see an end to the sufferings inflicted by the current world set up.
