I would like to think i'm still the same guy on the inside. I cared about my friends then, and i care about my friends now. Only difference is my "worldy" friends return the favor. The only thing really different now is my view of elders. I used to hold them to a higher standard, look up to men that held that position.

    Not any more.

On the outside i've changed a bunch. I would rather not go into details, lest i be hunted down.

    quite a bit...

which has freed me to a great extent...but it comes with consequences. People who knew you for years and years wonder about some of the changes. They don't understand. You have to learn to express thoughts and ideas differently when you live with people who don't understand the "new" you...

Happier, more at peace with and within myself. I'm now a Christian, too.

I no longer consider myself a christian, and I actually feel proud to say that. I dont view pagans as a word to *GASP* at. I dont look at gay people like they're from outer space or pervertLand. I sleep in on Sundays. I "do" things now instead of saying that I'll do them when the new system comes. Me & my handsome hubby took our dogs for a beautiful hike yesterday and I didn't once think to thank jahooba, but instead was simply grateful that I have my health. On a negative note, I feel more skeptical about things. I'm a massage therapist and have a VERY tough time opening up to 'spiritual' modalities like Reiki and energy work. I feel like I was lied to by the JW's for twenty years of my life, and my immediate family is still "in"... I dont want to fall for something like I did before but worry if I should quit being so skeptical.

Less judgemental toward others, and more accepting of other persons faults.

Also I feel much more calmer,

Well, I am not afraid to worship the sun. And I am not afraid of the Devil, either.

My personality is largely unchanged. But I am an atheist and avid skeptic now.

It's been almost 10 years since I knew I couldn't be a part of the borg anymore. But it took until 2003 to cleanse my brain of wondering if it really could be the truth. Thirty years of brainwashing doesn't go all away at once. 2003 was the last Memorial I attended and I have been free since.

I feel that I have finally lost my judgemental attitude and no longer want to debate with or allow myself to get angry with others on this forum because I don't agree with what may be an agenda they are looking to push. I now look at it as the way they need to vent and cleanse themselves of the brainwashing they also went through.

I'm happy to say that my daughter is also out of the borg.

Today I'm a Christian and leading a very happy and productive life.

    HappyDad
