I remember wondering how weird it would be for the wife to see her dead husband alive again, inhabiting someone else's body [a la Twilight Zone], and having to sleep with a new body

That very theme was an episode on Ghost Whisperer a few months ago.

I bet screen writers could get a lot of bizarre TV material from this website....looks like they hit the Mormons up first, though. Maybe they have more members and more money.

I've know a couple of elderly sisters that believed we would again be naked once regaining perfection.

Some thought survivors would never have to work again. Others, like Losch, think the survivors will be slave laborers, burying the dead, building houses, cooking, sewing, etc.

    All speculation... all the time.

Proof-positive from scripture that the 1000 years is for bringing man back to perfection, please.

Are you sure that wasn't stated in the litter-ature? I thought it was?

@ billy - "Others, like Losch, think the survivors will be slave laborers, burying the dead, building houses, cooking, sewing, etc."

In all seriousness, I've recently learned that this is the plan the new world order has for survivors of their genocide. Sounds eerily similar to the Governing Body's plan for the 'great crowd'.

The JW concept of a paradise earth is pure mythology and despite what they claim it has no biblical basis at all certainly not in the New Testament where all Christians are destined for heaven and there is no talk of life on earth as a destination for anyone that is a believer. This myth came to being after Rutherford brought out the absurd, unbiblical and cultic other sheep doctrine which separates believers into first and second class categories.

It's OK to talk about this myth by way of amusement but never take it seriously.

Green fertile fields where men and herds

can live at ease upon the new won earth,

settling on the solid firm-set hill, built by a bold industrious people's skill.

    Here within, a Paradise - ...

Such a race of men I long to see,

standing upon free soil, a people also free.

Then to the fleeting moment I could say:

You are so beautiful - can you stay?

Through all of Time, the achievement of my day

upon this earth will never pass away.

I sense foreknowledge of such happiness,

and now enjoy my highest moment - this.

(cameo for dramatic irony Goethe who wrote the poem was a free mason my bad)

Those annointed brothers/sisters would be changed into spirit beings in a twinkling of an eye - no need for flesh to grow to perfection. Spirit bodies are unflawed.
