    No.

He was privately reproved and placed under restrictions for 6 months.

I saw a program on the History Channel last night, I believe it was called "BC History". Just so happens it was about King David. What a power hungry bloodthirsty bastard!!! This was not a good guy. It was interesting the way everything was put in such real historical terms, (other than the "300" look of it). It reminded me of current day leaders, war, strategy, greed, etc. It was rather upsetting actually.

    Oh it's called "Battles BC"

As I was reading this post I was slightly concerned about how many of you seem to mock God. Please don't take this wrong, I am not holier than thou attitude, but my concern is with the way several seem to joke about God.

I haven't got the right to judge any one, but I don't believe how the witnesses interpret God. They paint God as a God of vengence and a God who doesn't care. They have made themselves look like fanatics because of the way they constantly speak of God's name. They can overdue it. But I say it is a dangerous thing to joke about God. That of course as I said is my opinion and I hope that none of you take offense to that.

    Hi, OFC.

None taken... Faith in any kind of god is hard to hold on to when you've had the JW experience. Some, like you, manage to keep a relationship with god going, others find their own way to maintain sanity... they call it all Bull-pucky and move on.

Not really sure where I stand... some day, I've gotta figure it out.

Let's not forget that David arranged the murder of Bathsheba's husband. I forget his name, but David arranged for him to be in the front lines in some war or another, which practically insured his death, and it did.

In the state I live in, that considered premeditated first-degree murder. Death by lethal injection.

No offense intended, but have you ever read the Old Testament? Mass murder, incest, rape, and general mayhem are the usual topics. Doesn't mean JWs have the advantage when it comes to God, but they do love their fire-breathing Jehovah.

Joking about God is acceptable if there is no God. Atheist posters are still going strong here. No celestial thunderbolts to fry their blasphemous typing fingers.
