pot is not a known addictive substance. If it is even mildly addictive is serious debate.

That Denmark is "stiffening up their drug laws" tells me exactly nothing. America has stiffened up it's drug laws to disasterous effect over many decades time. America had a relatively good thing going with the Clinton administration, and then chose George effing Bush to lead. Point being it's not unusual for people and societies to take a wrong turn trying to fix a problems they don't have or to use a societal/political meat cleaver where a scalpel would be appropriate. People are A) stupid, and B) control freaks.

That said, maybe denmark is making good choices. How would I know? You aren't giving specifics, you're just throwing out there as if it bolstered your argument simply through inference.

I once went to a pot rally. Outside the Democratic convention in San Fran actually. Anyway, thre was a Doctor there, and he said "Use more bongs!". Said it was healthier

And that says all one needs to know about Cali.

I'm a professional beks. I have to abide by a professional code of conduct that includes following the law and respecting society. For those reasons, my refusal to engage in illegal activity should be obvious with no need for elaboration.

Thinking hypothetically here now , lets say the government regulated the sale of pot at most liqueur stores and

the young adolescent who just comes into the legal age to buy alcohol sees on a nice elaborate display of all variations of pot to buy.

How many of those people do you think are going to try it out for themselves and hey this isn't the expensive black market stuff

its only $40 an ounce not the usual price of $200 bucks or above.

well this is what I'm saying about making pot that more readily available to the public.

    Homer,

Ha, most kids that have finally come of age to drink have already smoked pot. Seriously.

There is already a long list of illicit drugs out there that have caused serious damaging effect toward many lives, most unfortunately have been the younger ones of are population..

You act as if, to your mind A) the current drug laws and illegality of drugs haven't "c aused serious damaging effect toward many lives, most unfortunately.... the younger ones of are population", and B) there are no health benefits to pot, and C) there is no peace dividend to be found from people using pot in addition to or instead of drinking, and D) there is no harm from the hypocrisy of drug laws being enforced by people who get "stoned" on alcohol.

So John, you couldn't go to a demonstration?

And Homer, I think that's somewhat naive friend. Most kids have easier access than we do.
