No, but Nina did. I haven't been in 20 years so nobody knows me as a JW any more. I've been out longer than I was in.

Yesterday I was awakened to a big raucus outside. Just as I looked out the window, the doorbell rang. 2 at my door, and 14 on the sidewalks of both sides of the street! Honest, that many of them, Bookbags in tow! Yes, JeHoe's big Army had descended upon us like a swarm of hungry locusts! After they left-(I was in me undies, so I didn't answer), I opened the door, and there was a Memorial invite crumpled up in the door. I would have loved to have read it just to see what it said, but unfortunately, it was in Spanish, and being the silly American that I am, I can only speak English.

Soooo, I have this wonderful plan to wait until after the Memorial, and send the tract as well as a letter to the Kingdumb Hell telling them that if only I would have known that that's what the tract was, I would have loved to have gone, but couldn't understand what it said because it was only in Spanish. Of course the return addy would not be mine.

The JW's have been to our door before, and would ask for any Spanish people in the household. They would only talk to Spanish People, even though I pretended to be interested in what they were blathering about. Come to find out, they have campaigns where they will only speak to Spanish people, even if someone else is interested. Only Spanish, or they will walk away.

My mother sent me an invite in the mail with a brief letter asking me to come.

Thats nice yadda, are you going?

my parents aren't inviting me. In fact they don't even mention it in conversation. If they dare mention anything to do with the congregation its like throwing pearls before swine in their minds. For example they've just had their 2 day circuit assembly. I knew it was last weekend but when I asked them what they'd been doing on the weekend, they just hum'd and ahh'd and changed the subject. It was so silly.

The first one in 4 years! It's also the first piece of literature I've held in 4 years - I looked at it, saw the generic people inside the pamphlet, and gave a huge teary sigh that I'm not part of it. Honestly the joy of not being a witness moves me to tears - the relief!!!!

    It went into the trash.

This will be the first one I have missed,am I an Apostovirgin? We had a nice sister, she really is a lovely person, phone to say she had called on an old work friend of my wife, she closed with telling us the time of our old Congos Mem. and with "see you there"(all on the ansa-phone,we didn't pick up)

Lovely as she is we won't be going, and we had just told that same work friend that we have left as well! We may be able to plant some questions before she gets a R.V!
