I have not gotten an invitation in my door. I got 4 last year. One in my door, one in a grocery store parking lot, one at my mother's house(she was gravely ill and I was at her house in another state), and one from an aunt who I think was mainly concerned about my mother being under hospice care and not having attened a meeting in about 30+ years.
It's pretty strange that I haven't seen any JWs in my neighborhood in almost a year. For a while I saw them about once a month.

LMAO good point, think i should go to it instead?
I've got 50 invitations, the wife is supposed to distribute them! but I can't see her doing any.
More literature for recycling
Tonight (Monday) they have to do what they should be doing Thursday,
they can't do it Thursday cos they are doing the memorial;
why can't they just forget a meeting now and again?

I suppose it's only ok to miss meetings when the governing body makes a decision. Does that make all those book studies I attended null now that they are no longer required? Better write a letter to Brooklyn...
My MIL invited my wife also. She did not mention me in her 'loving Christian' offer.
If I get thirsty for a 'bit o' the red' I might go though.

Boyzone, no I'm not going. I thought about it but decided I couldn't attend in good conscience. I wrote her a letter back explaining my reasons so that she doesn't take it personally and knows I havn't made the decision lightly. I'll make it up to her some other way.
No invitations. We've only been absent from meetings for a year, not DF/DA. It sure is strange.
Mom rang a few days ago and reminded me of the memorial date and said "I hope you go". I don't think that counts as an invitation. She didn't really ask if I was going, and I didn't say anything. She knows better than to ask.
I too find it strange that nobody invited you MissingLink. Me and my wife were missing from meetings about 4 months and an Elder showed up right before the memorial to invite us (just on his own thought to stop by). You would think that somebody would have thought to stop by and and least count some time.
