Dear Ian, if the WT receives any divine instruction at all, it is from Satan, not from God. The Jehovah's Witness organization is a mind-controlling cult based on lies. If you are looking for truth, keep walking. You won't find it in the Jehovah's Witness organization.

If you want to know the history of the JW's and the truth behind their beliefs, there is a very good, inexpensive book you should purchase. You can even purchase it as an e-Book so you will have it immediately. It is called, "Crisis of Conscience" by Ray Franz. Ray Franz used to be one of the absolute elites of the WatchTower Society and, given what he witnessed firsthand, his conscience would not allow him to remain a Jehovah's Witness. This book tells his story and the true story of the WatchTower Society that Jehovah's Witnesses won't tell you.

The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society has already done all the research for you. You don't need to do any. Yes, that is what they constantly tell all the Witnessea at the Kingdom Halls, and in their literature. So if you are seeking the truth by associating with Jehovah's Witnesses, you definitely WILL need to follow all their interpretations, and cannot formulate your own. That is called independent thinking, and is to be avoided in order to be obedient to the WT Society.

You do not, nor do your children, need a college education, because reading all of the Society's publications is the equivalent of a University education. I used to wonder about that, but only slightly of course....see the above.....I didn't dwell on it for long, because that would be independent thinking.

Also, if you want to be a Witness, you must believe that the Kingdom of God is NOT within you but is headed by Christ Jesus and all of the annointed of Jehovah's Witnesses. Many meetings they had back in the 1920's were proof that God is using them, and they will be the Kings with Jesus for 1,000 years in heaven. You, however, could possibly live on earth, if you get past the problem of not being able to follow all their interpretations and all that thinking for yourself business.

At one time, the WTS stated that vaccinations were like taking pus into your body, and forbade their members from being vaccinated. At another point the said that organ transplants were cannibalism, and you would disfellowshipped if you had one, but later changed that rule. To bad for any that died while they couldn't have transplants.

Please know that nothing will be personal, or between you and God, if you become a Witness and you are questioned by the elders. They can even ask you about your sex practices with your spouse, and you must answer. For years acceptable (and unacceptable) bedroom practices have been discussed often and in detail in the literature and at meetings.

You do owe it to yourself to look past the exterior "niceness" of the JWs. Please examine their history, and previous proclamations of "the end" in various years. Ask them questions about the founder and his beliefs in pyramids, and their association with the United Nations. Please question now, because if you become a Witness, you will not be allowed to ask.

Jehovah (god Allah and other names) knows of our flaws he created us... but i cannot believe that he would love me anyless for saving the life of my child... or for having an education (just two points off hand) or for having a heart that wants to love and TRY to better understand him and embrace him.

Yeah, well good luck on that one with the jws. If you don't follow the WB&TS you will be told that God doesn't even hear your prayers.

Jehovah urges us to speak the truth. (Ephesians 4:15, 25) He does not hear the prayers of those who scheme harmful things, hide the truth for personal gain, or utter false oaths. (Proverbs 28:9) Since he hates apostasy, he wants us to cling to Bible truth. (Psalm 25:5; 2 John 9-11)

Of course this only pertains to those already in the organization, not the hoi polloi who pray for a certain knock on their door.
