This comes out of the teaching of the signs of the end times ( GT ) , one of them being wars and rumors of wars.

Since most JWS are not well educated in human history they take world war 1 as an obvious sign of bible prophecy.

Of course anyone with any kind resemblance of an education in history would say that there were actual more wars about earth

previously of 1914. The WTS and its followers try to promote themselves as true preachers of the bible so selecting any occurrence to support this

imposing image gets selectively utilized and exploited.

The point is the select signs of the times of the GT as written in the bible could be placed well in any moment of human history

for last 2000 years and even be placed with greater accuracy in the middle ages, so when someone reads information from apocalyptic religious

cults like the JWS who are trying to superimpose fear into people so they will react in the way they want them to react, hence it pays to analise

that given information to see if it is correct or not. The clue or hint to the truthful answer to all of this is the WTS. is a Publishing House.

Its deceivingly deliberate but that is the truth whether you like it or not.

The WTS has been around as long as they have because they know there are antiquated idiots that will believe them and they've got the numbers

Logic, history, and the Society's Revelation interpretation prove this untrue.

The events that triggered WWI started in the summer of 1914 with war breaking out August 1st.

According to the Society, Christ was enthroned in Kingdom power on October 6, 1914 and war broke out in heaven, with Satan and the demons to be cast to earth at as the result of the heavenly war. Then, woe for the earth because the Devil has come down to you...

If this were true, the time of trouble would have began sometime after October 1914. Why did the war start in the summer, before Christ's enthronement and before Satan was cast to the Earth?

I would pull the JW aside and 'privately' offer the reproof not to say such things as it could make them look foolish if they ran into someone who actually knew WTS history.

If I was in a carload I would say that we should be very careful of making such statements as revisionist history doesn't always prove to be true.

If pressed more I might ask for historical proof (my JWs aren't savvy beyond the CD). Hopefully starting them on a journey 'examining the fruitage' of the organization.

Then again depending on the situation I might just ...
