We Adopted A Kitten ...

Aw, Kittens! Abandoned cats usually find me... Recently rescued one that almost makes me believe in demon possession - has chewed all the electrical cords in the house (got thru to the current on a few of them!), destroyed several potted plants, knocked all the magnets off of the refrigerator, terrorized my poor little old favorite cat, the calico, attacked my sweet doggie who tries to break up the cat fghts, etc, etc....

We eventually had to wrap all the cables leading to our tvs with tin foil to keep him from chewing them up - had to replace two - during a blizzard, both times, too!

Eventually I'm going to do a humorous piece on this cat - if our house doesn't burn down first... Zid

My cat is a rescued cat. He was almost dead from starvation when I got him two years ago. Now he thinks he owns this house and he just lets me live here. Sometimes he even lets me sleep in my bed all by myself.

I love my kitty. I know yours will have a great home, too!

Zid, how in the world do you stand it?

John Doe, I can see how it happens.

That little thing has even got those rowdy g'sons behaving protectively towards her.

Yeah, cats are neat Sylvia, but I'll never have them in my house. They're the one thing I'm allergic to. An exception seems to be cats who stay outside--I can pet them sometimes without having my eyes itch, burn, and swell up later. Maybe they don't gather cat dander as bad?

    Yes, she does.

    It's just amazing.

    I don't know.

All the cats I've known have been outdoor cats.

This is my first experience with having one inside.

She's an ugly little old beautiful thing!

It's the same with us, ziddina. Our very first cat we got as a rescue kitten who was with us nearly 20 years. Since then, over the decades, numerous adult cats have found us and moved in. The one we have now (yes, there's a welcome lull in strays and we only have one), came to us when he was about 9 months old - his 'owners' went out all day most days and left him outside to fend for himself.

Snowbird - want to see those pics of the cute little fuzzball.
