Mini, we all think you are strange. To me, not being a little weird means a person is a little boring and probably not cool.

Fie, Minimus!
You are the strangest little red dot to ever inhabit this pale, blue dot.

You have to forward to 1:15 to hear Mr. Soul. But the host of the show is weird right away. You'll see. Here's a song that celebrates being called strange.

Oh, hello Mr. Soul,
I dropped by
to pick up a reason
For the thought that I caught
that my head
is the event of the season
Why in crowds just a trace
of my face
could seem so pleasin'
I'll cop out to the change,
but a stranger
is putting the tease on.
I was down on a frown
when the messenger
brought me a letter
I was raised by the praise
of a fan
who said I upset her
Any girl in the world
could have easily
known me better
She said, You're strange,
but don't change,
and I let her.
In a while will the smile
on my face
turn to plaster?
Stick around while the clown
who is sick
does the trick of disaster
For the race of my head
and my face
is moving much faster
Is it strange I should change?
I don't know,
why don't you ask her? -

Let's face it, if you ever thought the JW's had the truth, you might be strange.

Not strange, I often get the "you're quiet" comment.

I got to thinking. that can be dangerous, but yeah, I got to thinking: I haven't been told that I was strange. Weird was the word and usually it came from a kid who didn't like my deep thinker approach to bubble gum music or girl scout merit badges. You know?

I just got a new medication
After years of hibernation
I can walk outside for the first time
And let the sunshine touch my head
Never went an hour without
Mutilating from the inside out
Now everything's fine for the first time
I feelin' like I'm born again
I try but can't explain it - I say too much
I feel so liberated - feels like love
It's so nice to be normal - to be normal for a change
I used to stare up at the sky
And watch the little worm in my eye
But now all I wanna do is look at you
And fill your darkest room with light
I try but can't explain it - I say too much
I feel so liberated - feels like love
It's so nice to be normal - to be normal for a change.
It's so nice to be normal - but it still feels kinda strange.
The noise has left my head
The voice inside is dead
Now I don't hear a sound.
Never knew silence could ever be so loud.
It's so nice to be normal - to be normal
It's so nice to be normal - but it still feels kinda strange. -

The Lutheran pastor who married my husband and me said we were "weird." My JW mother, who is nuts, always called me "strange person" when I was growing up. And most people I know view me as a bit eccentric.
Once when I moved and left my job of three years, my co-workers gave me a going away party and the card said, "Don't leave yet! We were just getting used to you!"
I think being Dubs made us strange because it affected our social skills and how we think.
