When you sincerely believe you are the expression of God's Universal Government on earth, having a system of checks and balances or an audit trail are low on the list of priorities.
They are captives of their own concept, and their theocratic warfare strategy is easily justified.

JOHN DOE- The point of the article is the WT society has a " skewed " view of speaking the truth. They selectively choose who they want to speak truth to, or not. The WT society is huge on projection onto others- what they do themselves. Example : Their statement " Jehovah's people need to be on guard against apostates and other wicked men who use trickery or cunning for selfish purposes. " The WT society uses deception, trickery, and dishonesty - blatant lying in covering up child abuse , spousal abuse, and other evils that would expose them as unfit if brought out in public in the media - so they continue lying to cover it up.
They condone it in the statement , " all lying is wrong , but not every case of untruthfulness requires judicial action. " If they really followed the Bible they would treat lying as serious a sin as they do fornication and adultery . But- they don't. They make loopholes for lying sometimes to save face and yet condemn it only if it's to their advantage. If they really followed the Bible like they claim- they would not tolerate lies just as much as they don't tolerate fornication or adultery or any other disfellowshipping offense. But they are hypocrites . They won't see it.
GARYBUSS- Very true. Very few if any elders I knew had good balance, reasonableness, and good judgment. Maybe 1 or 2 out of 10 . But that's it.
ALLTIMEJEFF- Exactly. The GB picks and chooses who they want to tell the truth to. Which ends up being nobody outside of their small inner circle basically. If we really knew what goes on at the top- we'd all shiver
BESTY- Very true. The WT society feels they don't NEED checks and balances because in their own eyes - THEY ARE GOD. So they justify any skewing of truth or being dishonest in the name of " spiritual warfare. " Really weird

Also Flipper greed it is a serious sin equal to fornication and adultery, according to St. Paul and Jesus. Do you know any JW(and specially those millioners and business men)that they ever got disfellowshiped for that reason?
JUSTHUMAN 14- Very true what you say. Greed AND lying are just as serious of sins as fornication and adultery - but in the Jehovah's Witnesses they aren't punished as severely if at all either for greed or lying. Not like they are for fornication and adultery

SILENTONE - You might check my other thread on the anointed which came from that same June 15th magazine. The poster FOKYC posted a link on page 3 I believe either to that articlr or to the entire magazine , not sure .
