I've heard it and it makes my flesh crawl.

And they wonder why people think they're a CULT!

Actually, I think it will be incorporated into their everyday useage more and more as they continue to gain and keep more control over the flock. Who would want to disappoint "Mother" when she asks the children to drink the kool-ade?

I don't know about that beks. You're bossy, just like the society. You're wrong an average of 95% of the time, just like the society. You think you know more than you do, and others are wrong, just like the society. You like to feign offense, just like the society. And finally, you're full of spit, just like the society. I'd say that's some pretty striking similarities.

    Doe! You're grounded!

Hm, I wonder why my mother hates it when I call her "Mother" to her face?

I joke with Doe, but this really does piss me off.

The hardest thing I have ever done as a mother, is let my kids go. Honestly. I have sat back while they went on field trips and moved off on their own in to the world. I worry and fret, but I love the hell out of them, and know that I have to let them have their freedom to grow and be happy.

The society is the very opposite of mother.

If the WTS is the "mother," and Jehovah is the "father," when did they get married? I don't remember a wedding ceremony or hearing vows exchanged.

I believe they're both living in sin and should be disfellowshipped and shunned.

It is a big thing around NY and the 3 branches. It seems that when people leave Bethel and filter back in the US, they take that terminology with them.

It was used regularly in my old hall.

I remember a bro saying that's the term they used at bethel, and it's usage spread quickly around here.

I heard the term "mother" decades ago and I believe the tradition goes back to the 1950's.

I've heard it being used quite often, even at assemblies. So , they have a Father and Mother ? But where does that place Jesus ? Its the ususal subtle brainwashing

    being used . . . . . Father , Mother / Parents ! - - this infers that the org. is on a par with God himself. . . . . and Jesus? Well, he's put where he's always put, . . . Out of the way!

Like most children.....seen but not heard....... Only the org. is recognised source of authority..... and in this relationship it seems that Mother is wearing the trousers.
