I used to say this at doors "We're not here to change your religion today." This was a true statement. I wasn't going to change their religion that day. Of course, I hoped to change their religion eventually...

funny......most dubs i know would freak out and run if anyone wanted to study........they would hand it off as fast as possible to a zealot pioneer......my wife has never had a study in her life!!!!!!!!!!!!!........so much for cultivating RV's...........oompa

Making converts is secondary to the real purposes of field circus, which are selling literature and counting time. If they really wanted converts they'd work out a more effiecient system for doing so.

As much as that "we are not here to change your religion" made me uncomfortable to say.....I still said it anyway because I was expected to. When a householder said they already were a Christian and that they DID read their bible.....we totally ignored this and still proceeded to try and "place the latest WTS literature" with them. No matter WHAT religious leaning they had....it was WRONG in our eyes (without any question) and they MUST get the WTS message in order for our personal bloodguilt to be assuaged.

How much better and nicer it is to be in a wider Christian brotherhood that does not blatantly look down on or secretly sneer at every other belief system simply because they don't follow some delusional old men in Brooklyn.

Well they of course have the one and only true religion as the WTS. has told them over and over again,

this prolonged mental indoctrination has been developed with everyone who studies their literature and listens to their talks

and thats what its been exactly designed to do, with intension.

The main structuring of the JWS is to promotion and circulation of the WTS. publishings to create wealth.

Dubs have to reveal it a little bit at a time in order to harden their victim's conscience against their atrocious beliefs.

And isn't that a seductive thought for the average Jehovah's Witness who, if they aren't already in a vulnerable, degraded life situation when they begin studying, soon end up in that position as a result of the WTBTS stultifying edicts that cripple personal advancement - "College can draw you away from Jehovah"... "Advancement at work will cut into the time you have left to serve Jehovah"... and so on.

I am proud to say that I never - NEVER - converted a single person. I was a reluctant baptismal candidate to begin with; I just drifted along until I felt the circumstances were ripe to leave - well, there were those suicidal feelings, too, that told me it was DEFINITELY time to leave!!
