Dear lord gods, Yiz!
Our hopes and best wishes are with you both again... I don't know what to say to that.
Wife is doing ok, I'm worried tho. Very little cleaning today, so that's good, for the most part.
Went and got a chain with a clip on it for the strobe light flasher button so it stays on her gown and makes it easy for her to locate it since it's about the size of a silver dollar.
Had a ocupational therapist and a physical therapist come visit today to access her situation and come up with a plan that I hope works for her.
Got two doc appts on Tues and one on Thurday, so we'll have a busy week.
The doc on Tuesday afternoon is who'll look into her "situation" as mentioned above and see what he says and will do.
Making sure she stays comfortable, has all her meds, sugar check, meals (she had for breakfast: Egg and Bacon Sammich w/ Mayo, Lunch: Olive Loaf Sammich, chips and for dinner: Fettucine Alfredo, green beans, Nilla Wafers.) and whatever else she needs.
We sat together and watched some TV, watched Legend of the Seeker and a couple of episodes of House. (That last episode, wow, what a bratty little kid!)
Getting ready for bed for another episode of fun tomorrow.
Nite guys!
Yiz
Oh my goodness Yiz....I just don't know what to say! I am so glad she is home but so sad to hear the terrible things going on with her. My heart just goes out to you both. You are such a darling person and I pray things will improve.
hugs,
Annie
Looks like the strobe light works 75% of the time, it's the time when I turn in my sleep and I am facing the wall whereas it doesn't work well, plus the walls isn't white, it's like medium pink in color (thus my step daughter's former bedroom).
I'm looking into a bed vibrator that might work better, thing is, it's pretty expensive. The one I'm looking at online so far is $56.95. http://productsforthedeaf.com/pro876706.html
The stuff I got wasn't that expensive. *sighs*, I hate it when an idea doesn't work 100% like I hoped it would. I need something that will make sure she gets the help my wife needs, especially if it's an emergency.
Lemme see if I can find some assistance for the deaf someplace.
Anyway, my wife is doing ok. Tomorrow we got a busy day. Two doctor appointments. One to a new family doctor we're looking into and the other doctor that will look into her problem regarding her bottom area as mentioned in a post above.
Wish us luck!
Yiz
I wish the best for you and your wife.
Good news.
Now you can be with the one you love.
Yiz,
You are such a caring and loving soul, and your wife sounds like one, too. I'm the resident deafy on here. Am I going to have to share my title? Smile:)
Yiz, your wife is very fortunate to have such a loving caregiver.
May I say - why aren't you feeding her (and you) more fruits and veg?
(she had for breakfast: Egg and Bacon Sammich w/ Mayo, Lunch: Olive Loaf Sammich, chips and for dinner: Fettucine Alfredo, green beans,
Nilla Wafers.) and whatever else she needs.
Too much refined starch, fats and sugar. Can you feed her more whole grains - like real oatmeal with dried or fresh fruit, shredded wheat, skim milk, whole grain sprouted bread and fruit smoothies, salads? For example fettucine alfredo is mostly refined flour pasta and processed cheese (fat). The only good thing on this list was the green beans. There is no nutritional or fiber benefits from most of these foods - processed meat, bread, pasta, cookies. Refined white flour is basically sugar (turns to sugar right in your mouth when mixed with saliva) and anyone with bowel issues should be careful of refined flour, sugar, and binding foods like cheese. She needs lots and lots of water. More apples, oranges, pears, melons, carrots, lettuces, veg soup, fish, etc. And there are some wonderful whole grains pastas now - like 5+ grams of fiber per serving.
And lotsa love!
Yiz u are quite the representation of morality. Keep doing what u do best.
Yizuman,
Kindness is tenderness. Kindness is love, but perhaps greater than love...Kindness is good will. Kindness says, "I want you to be happy.
